Canadian police have master key to BlackBerry's encryption since 2010
Everything Goes

Canadian police have had the master key to BlackBerry's encryption since 2010. Looks like police have a server in Ottawa to simulates a mobile device that receives a message intended for [the rightful recipient]. Of course the USA had been happily intercepting Angela Merkel Blackberry too. Perhaps using a similar setup? So much for BlackBerry being secure

I thought BB were trading on old perceptions of being the secure operating system for years, that story seems to say the same. I am really surprised that BB are even still selling phones as almost no one seems to be carrying a BB phone these days.
