Hi all,

Sorry, I missed a few episodes and then when I caught up saw Jay kissing some chick at the car lot. Then I saw him with her in the pub and then last night said chick totally flipped out over Louise trying to kiss him!!!

Question please : WHO IS SHE AND WHERE DID SHE COME FROM??

ps. Cos she looked half Indian or Pakistani to me, I actually thought she had something to do with either Kush's family or the Masoods??...........apparently she's got a secret....

Hi Noush.

A few months back Linda held some kind of Land Lady competition at the Vic, one of the competitors was the Land Lady of a near by Pub. Linzi I believe is her daughter, Jay met her in the Cafe (I think) and now they are dating.

You mean Carmen She's been running away from the Dumping Ground on several occasions.

I just saw her last night and it seemed obvious to me that she was under age. Why wouldn't Jay realize, or at least suspect,

Jay is a bit thick and at the moment is only thinking with his knob.

A better question is why is it spelled like that? Ugh. Sounds like a character off Footballer's Wives.

Yes she does have a very exotic look. I don't know about the actress but in EE, Thelma is clearly fully white so Linzi's father may have been Indian or Spanish. Or maybe her grandparents. Or it could just be fake tan like Tina in Corrie

Surely Thelma must have some significance seeing as she is back next week. This makes me almost 100% sure it's the obvious underage storyline - the reaction of Thelma would be major and she'd be likely to report it.

The actress's name (Amy-Leigh Hickman) doesn't really give away any other ethnicity. She does look half Indian though, or perhaps Mediterranean. Love that look: pretty, tanned brunette.

Genuine question, Why are so many adults seemingly watching Tracey Beaker? Is it cos they've got kids or is it entertaining or something?

I find it weird how it's so commonly mentioned regarding her, as if she's the first person in a soap to have acted in something else before!

I think some adults genuinely liked it because of how mature and engaging it was. It's a really good kids drama in my honest opinion. Personally, I enjoyed Tracy Beaker Returns a lot. Infact, I consider to be one of the best CBBC dramas alongside the likes of Sarah Jane and Wolfblood. To me, it's no suprise that it was able to be enjoyed by both kids and adult audiences. I'd definitely recommend it. Some even prefer it to the original series and others vice versa. It has some really good episodes.

As MG said, Amy Leigh Hickman is best know for playing the character, Carmen Howle. Originally played first in Tracy Beaker Returns (2010-12) and now in The Dumping Ground (which is essentially a continuation of the show without Tracy). She's a good young actress. I expect good things from her.

Interestingly enough, some old faces from Eastenders have also made minor/major one off appearances on both shows including Tracy Ann(Chrissie), Kacey (Little Mo), Charlie (Janine) and recently Tiana (Chelsea).
