Nutella type spread?

Nutella is nice, but is quite expensive.
Which hazelnut chocolate spread do you think is the closest to the real thing and is less expensive ?

I have some form of chocolate spread nearly every day

For my regular evening TV snack I melt a dessert spoon sized dollop of chocolate sauce in a saucepan, mix in 7 dessert spoons of rice crispies, put in a bowl in the fridge until it solidifies (about an hour) then eat it.....

So I've tried lots of these chocolate based spreads

My favourite is the Chocolate Orange spread from Morrisons........the Malteser Spread is quite nice, and the one that looks like a whirlpool with mixed white and milk spread

I always feel let down by Nutella because I can't taste any nuts in it, just chocolate, so you might as well get the cheaper ones

For everyday use I have the Sainsbury own brand Milk Chocolate spread which is fine and about a pound a jar less than Nutella

I do buy Nutella when it's on special offer though

By the way.......if you look around a proper health food shop there's dozens of nut spreads along the lines of Peanut Butter but all different varieties and usually 'wholefood'

Something like Hazelnut Butter or Cashew Butter would be very nice but will cost a lot more than Nutella !

I'm planning on making "Nutella cupcakes", which will be filled with hazelnut chocolate spread. It will have ganache on top and then sprinkled with chopped nuts
