Diet Coke / Coca Cola Light

Why is it that the flavour of Coca Cola Light (in Europe or imported in to your local kebab shop!) is different to that of Diet Coke? The Light version has more taste. Is there something that the UK prohibit from being put in our version of drink? They are supposed to be the same drink wit local branding.

They're not exactly the same. Diet Coke is sold in English speaking countries and in general is the same taste in all the countries that sell it. Coke light is sweetened differently to Diet Coke and adapted for the tastes of each country it's sold in. How you can prefer it to Diet Coke is strange. Diet Coke is much nicer.
