I'm not sure what it is you think I'm defending - I just disagreed with the idea that 'retina' had become some sort of recognised (industry) standard.
And wondered why the thought of Apple begging up any unique feature of their screens might warrant such cynicism, as if it was some underhand thing that only Apple did.
As I said above, its not as though they have been trying to tell anyone that LCD is some new and unique to Apple tech, so I'm not even sure why you would think they would try to say that about OLED.
