I agree. I can imagine her being quite unpleasant to her minions too.

Good to have an account from someone who was actually there, especially when these things get so much editing with the audience reaction.

Better than I thought it would be, but nowhere near Golden Buzzer worthy.

Typical of Alesha to do it though, given the previous year.

I was nodding off when they were on.. Who's not seen a gospel choir before.. Not surprised Alecia liked them. I'll just leave that there..

Yes I thought she owned the stage. It was like watching Tina Turner perform when she was very young. You just could not get away from her. They were totally amazing though. Rejoice

You could say that about any act. Who hasn't seen a magician before, and so on and on.

Waste of a Golden Buzzer.

They were good but they would look less messy if they got rid of those awful 'satiny tents' they were wearing. The dancers' costumes looked a lot better.

I agree. I'm not a fan of the 'we sing gospel so lets dress like we're in church' look. There are a lot of brilliant contemporary gospel artists with an up to date image which I think would make them look more relevant in todays market

Great to see that they already have over 277k hits on You Tube, with 6k likes. Really well deserved. This forum is out of touch as usual.

I really enjoyed them, but I'm a fan of gospel anyway. Mahilia Jackson being one of my particular favourites.

Me too. I am a big fan of the LCGC, but I know that it is a niche genre as has been sown with some of the comments from posters on here.

Ant & Dec aping them off-stage is perhaps the only time they've been funny thus far this series.

Well this is getting ugly quick--and that second post drawing a conclusions about something we can't possibly know out of thin air.

Not liking their singing or their style is one thing. That's quite proper and everyone's prerogative. Drawing conclusions about what kind of people they are out of what we saw? Ludicrous. Oh, nobody can stop you from doing so, but something built on that little is just a fantasy, so I'm going to react to it that way.

I agree with you totally, but I bypassed the comments as I just put it down to some people being rather ignorant.

Thought they were a bit cheesy TBH and felt there was too much going on stage with the dancers as well as the choir, so I wasnt quite sure what I was meant to focus on. If it was a smaller group (say 10 people) maybe it would have been better.

It's not just this forum who I've seen say they were a waste of a golden buzzer.

Youtube hits don't mean a thing in the grand scale of things x

They were good but didn't deserve a pass to the live shows!!

They aren't up to the standard of other Gospel choirs, perhaps there were too many of them but it just sounded like a shouty racket to me.

Mahalia Jackson - now you're talking! She was a sublime singer.

You Tube likes are more an indicator of whether people like an act rather than a few comments on a small forum like this.
