Where to buy 3D movies?
I have just bought a DLP/3D projector and was wondering where I could buy 3D digital movies to view on it? I have downloaded loads of clips from YouTube but would be good to watch an actual movie on it (legally!). I have an Apple TV 3 but iTunes don't appear to offer 3D movies. Other devices connected:
- Sky HD (although would prefer to buy them from elsewhere) - Xbox 360 - Chromecast - Blu-ray (non 3D compatible) Would movies purchased through Amazon be playable on the Xbox 360? I see it is in a list of compatible devices. I appreciate 3D is a gimmick and I can't see me using it long term but would be good to see at least some in 3D. Thanks |

Sky HD will offer you free subscription based 3D content, so if you have movies you'll get 3D movies at no extra cost. If you don't subscribe and you just want to sample it, just sign up for a month, you should get it for about £8.
Pretty sure none of your other devices will play/support 3D. If you're wanting 3D on a PJ then 3D bluray is the way to go. £60 will get you up and running, appreciate it's a chunk of money to throw away, especially if you don't intend to use the 3D element long term. |

I have successfully cast YouTube videos in 3D to my Chromecast and also played back downloaded 3D clips via Apple TV and both worked fine and fairly impressive! |

PS3 has 3D support, but you already have a games console. If you are wanting full length 3D movies it looks like it's going to have to be Bluray/Sky HD, unless there's a streaming company that offers this content I've not heard of/come across. 3D does work better on a very large screen, much better than on a TV. Glad you got the pj sorted in the end.
