All regular channels missing - YouView iOS app version 8.0.6.10 BT Broadband

We have a Humax YouView using BT internet but without tv subscription.
Recently the iPad app for YouView has stopped showing all the regular channels and only shows the BT subscription channels - so no BBC 1,2 ITV, C4 etc.
We have reset the box and done everything we can think of to try to reset the app - on two devices - but it only shows Eden, AMC, BT Sport etc etc.
The box DOES show all the regular channels but the app doesn't appear to pick them up.
Has anyone else - especially BT broadband customers - had the same problem or know what I can try to resolve this?
