PJ Harvey
Any fans here? I think she's fantastic. I'm in love with the new album Hope Six Demolition Project.
It got kind of mixed reviews (which is unusual for her) because of the political content, but I love it. I actually like it more than Let England Shake which was more critically acclaimed. It's really diverse with the return of a more gritty rock and blues sound from her. |

I wouldn't say I was a fan but I like her stuff, she was a mainstay on John Peel when I used to listen to it in the 80's and 90's. Never bought anything though.

I love the return of guitars and a more gutsy bluesy sound on this album. So far, it's my favorite album of 2016. |

She's a great singer. "Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea " and "Let England Shake"
are two of my favourite albums. |

Stories is my favourite as well. I read that some fans don't like it as its her most commercial accessible record and less experimental than some of her other stuff.
I also really like To Bring You My Love and Is This Desire. A Perfect Day Elise is one of my favourite songs. |

Love the new album although I must admit I've winced at some of the lyrics. Medicinals in particular is worthy but clunky which is very unusual for her. Overall though, it's a terrific album.

Stand out tracks for me are 'The Wheel' and the opener. Prefer it overall to '...England', but 'Stories...' is unlikely to ever be bettered to my ears.

I really like Line in the Sand from the new album. |

I was flicking through the TV a couple of months ago and managed to catch her set at Glastonbury - amazing! |
