Heck sausages

I am currently following weight watchers and their chipolata sausages are the lowest pointed that I have found.
Now I am not a sausage lover but when I find a good banger I could happily eat loads of them.
Has anyone else found these to their liking?
This link shows them :https://www.heckfood.co.uk/product/c...lia-chipolatas and this variety is only 3 smart points for two and the are like a chipolata.

I've not tried them, but they are made of chicken, so they are not going to taste anything like a pork sausage.

I've got some in the freezer. They're OK, but you need to be careful not to overcook them, as the skin can get dry if you do.

Depends. Most cheap hot dog sausages are made of chicken!

These are the ones that Debbie & Andrew made after they sold the company aren't they?

I have not bought any
but for a few months I have seen the chiller display cabinet with various packs of them @ Morrison's / and on the web site
I will definitely try some of them = if they end up in the **Reduced item** section

We tried some Heck sausages when they were reduced a few months ago and they're now our first choice. We didn't like the chipolatas but we don't really like chipolatas anyway. The Heck range are fairly low in carbs compared to most other brands which is an important factor for me.

The Italian chicken sausages are okay - I like them but Mr Cat doesn't. We both like the straightforward Chicken ones but the 95% ones are the favourites.

I like them. I have tried the chicken Italia ones and the, umm.. Smoked paprika (I think that's what they are called, but might be wrong). Both are very nice and the paprika ones taste a bit like chorizo.

They do taste different to pork sausages of course but they are still very good. Nothing beats a decent quality butchers sausage of course but these are a good, healthier alternative.

Which ones are they? Don't think I have seen them.

I've had a couple of varieties from Heck recently and found them to be quite nice. I'm pleased to see Morrisons have started stocking the range as it was previously only Tesco I could locate them round here. The paprika ones are nice sliced up into a spicy tomato pasta bake

They were just labelled as 'Chicken'. I got them in a Tesco in Birmingham in January as a last-minute addition to the food we brought with us on the day we moved. I haven't seen them here in Scarborough though.

I'm on Weight Watchers and the chicken Heck sausages are so low in points. I love them but none of my local supermarkets sell them, I have to do a 40 minutes bus ride just to stock up

They sell them on their website. Will save you a trip but not sure what the minimum order is.

Edit, just checked:

Quote:
“FREE delivery on orders over £25 (they freeze well!).
All orders under £25, delivery costs £7.50 .”

£25 isn't too bad for free delivery. Better that than paying £7.50 delivery.

Maybe they were the Italia ones and they taste different cold and in sandwiches when you've spent 16 hours packing, travelling and unpacking in horrendous weather conditions.

I looked into that before, I don't have enough room in my freezer for £25 worth of sausages. I live alone so at most I'd use one pack a week, while I'm sure I could eat £25 worth in a week the point of going to Weight Watchers is to control my eating habits

I know how you feel!

I do Sliming World, used to live alone (partner since moved in) but when I did live alone I did a lot of batch cooking so bought myself a small chest freezer to give me more room than just my fridge freezer.

Still manage to fill that up with ease

I tend to buy them in bulk from their webbie as the only place that sells them near me (asda) is always out when I go.
I have 5 packets of those chicken italia's atm in freezer, and as both myself and OH are dieting we get through a fair few.
