Reggie and Bollie are doing gigs!......??

I feel very shocked at clicking onto an article about them and actually finding out that they still have "fans" and they actually are doing "gigs"........

I don't suppose it amounts to anything more than "singing" in a pub rather than an actual gig, but the fact that they charged people for this experience, and people actually were happy to hand over 22 pounds for said experience, makes me feel slightly overwhelmed.....

Still, apparently they'll be releasing their first single this summer which I'm sure will be one of the greatest hits of 2016............

Doesn't surprise me at all they're very stagey visual kind of festival act

I wonder how much success they will have and what sort of album it will be

In spite of myself, I will be interested to see what single they bring out, because let's face it.........they're not hugely talented, and at best they're a karaoke warm up act.

Yes they're energetic, but I don't think they deserve the amount of fame theyve had already, as imo they're completely undeserving of any fame at all!

If they bring out a single, then they'll bring out an álbum. I imagine it'll be full of covers.....if it's all original then better but I'm not sure that they could do ten or so songs of the limited genre that they're "famous" for....

But it'll be interesting to see.

I guess people would expect a proper concert for £22 a ticket, not six songs

To be fair, that will be the set list they are given to perform and I don't suppose R and B decide on the ticket charge, that will be the venue

Until I read this story I'd forgotten all about R and B

Without seeing the contract its hard to know who is in the wrong. If RnB were only contracted for 20 minute, six song set then the venue oversold it.

If they were contracted for a 45 minute set then the venue have a right to be angry and to sue.

But ultimately the ticket price and whatnot would have been the venue's doing, and even £22 for a 45 minute of six songs with one act set seems steep. I mean X Factor tickets sold from £35 and that was a two hour show with all the finalists.

It seems like a balls up on the promoters behalf to me. Both the venue and Reggie N Bollie have stated that they were booked to perform six songs. The average length of a pop song is 3 minutes 30 seconds - that x6 is 21 minutes. I mean, Reggie N Bollie are probably still performing their X Factor material which was even more condensed - again, nothing to with Reggie N Bollie. I'd suggest this that this venue start booking acts with a time slot, rather than by length of song. The Vaccines would be there for 10 minutes with the average length of their songs.

I love how the use "The Hoosiers" as a marker of quality, too

Im still staggered that there are people out there that will spend 22 POUNDS on them

And moreovee, there are people out there that dont just want to hear just one of their songs....................but six of them!

i would have thought in R&B's case that the cost of the ticket would have been inversely proportional to the length of their performance

the longer you have to listen to them you are being punished enough so should get it cheaper

But they finished in the same position as Fleur did, does that not make them of equal talent?

I wouldn't go as far as to say that, but still, that's just a matter of opinion.

They're not my cup of tea so wouldn't even go to see them for free, but kudos to them for coming as far as they did and for still doing well up to now. They're two nice chaps who are clearly very much liked by many, so they deserve some success.

The endless standing ovations and looks of sheer awe on the judges faces at their "talent" after every "performance" has to be the show's lowest point.
