I had a final notice letter from them today, threats of bailiffs! I closed my account with them 6 months ago and paid the fee. They say I have to prove it, I can see on my online banking the amount going from my account which I paid for over the phone with my debit card. I have asked my bank for a hard copy statement. I have tried to call them even though I am not a customer of theirs any more but I am just on hold for ever. Help

You can skip the automated prompt asking for a number by pressing hash.

You can get your account number off an old bill. They can still access the account with this.

If you want to present proof you have paid the bill, pop into store and show it to a member of staff. Get them to note in on the account, with the reference numbers and all appropriate information from your bank statement, added to the account notes. Then call customer services and ask them to look at the notes.

Skip the bullshit they give you and go straight to the top!

Thats the guy who runs Vodafone UK. When account issues like you're experiencing happen its a ball ache trying to get it sorted via customer services.

Someone should get back to you within a couple of days. Keep the email brief and state the actions you want taken, they will clear it up in no time.

It's alright saying 'pop into a store' when you are near a town.
