Hi I have been having issues with my texts on EE using Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge since about last October. I have delivery reports on and what will happen is I'll send a text and it'll go, I get delivery report/green tick by it, but it will not always be received by my contact.

This happens with a couple of contacts, who are on different networks, though I do text these more than anyone else so it could be with them as I text them more. It has also happened in the past where I've sent a text, and the contact I have most issues with received it 5 times, even though it shows as sent once on my phone. Yet an EE advisor checked my text logs and it showed it as sent 5 times which is odd.

Also it's interesting to note the contact I get most issues with has individual notification lights/sounds for each person. Mine is a white light. When I text him and he doesn't receive it the reason we know is because he'll say your light just flashed but there's no text. Then we'll realise the text I just sent, he hasn't got. Almost like my text has gone and been received in a way but is blank? With another contact they don't have individual notifications so the only way we know is there's just confusion in conversation or I'll ask if they got my last text about so and so.

One EE advisor I spoke to was trying to fob me off saying it was the receiving person's networks issue. They kept saying how they can see some example issue texts I gave that the message has gone to the message centre so it's the other end that's the problem. They wouldn't listen to me keep saying but it happens to more than one contact and on a different network. I spoke to someone else who could see the logic in this and they're passing it onto someone else to look at. They hadn't seen this issue before.

I often wonder if length/frequency of texts can be the cause as I text these contacts more and have sent some very lengthy texts in the past. EE tell me though that that shouldn't be an issue as it all gets deleted after 7 days in the network. I now regularly delete these threads but the issue still happens and is getting worse and worse. Which makes me think it is a clogging up issue somewhere along the line. It was fine in my first 6 months of the contract, no problems whatsoever.

I asked EE if I could just get rid of my number/sim and start afresh but keep the contract going. The advisor said I can have a profile rebuild which is basically that but I get to keep my number, though he said they might be reluctant to do that as it's a bit of work for them.

So basically does anyone know what could be the cause of the problem? Is a profile rebuild likely to fix it?

Also I tried my sim in another phone and still had the issue of texts not being received, so it's not the phone.

Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Hayley
