I've just got the new Apple TV and I'm busy populating it with TV services from around the world.

I'm looking to set up accounts in Ireland, Germany and one of the Scandinavian countries.

To do so you either need an iTunes card, Credit card or a gifted app code.

Is there anyone who can help me out with these stores? I'm willing to pay via PayPal for the gifted app codes (99p type apps only please) Contact me via PM if you can.

Thanks

Hi Brian, it's easier than you think. Just follow the guide here.

Important: What you need to remember is that you must create the account on iTunes on a computer - NOT an iPad, the Apple TV or any other device.

For free apps, you don't need to apply gift cards or anything. As per the guide above, basically you just follow the procedure to install any free app, and at the time of purchase you select "None" for payment method. You will however need to provide some form of address at the country whose iTunes account you want to create - but I'm sure you can manage this.

Ireland doesn't yet have much in the store worthwhile, although if you don't mind paying €3 per month, iBox.ie will give you live and catch-up streams of the major Irish broadcast channels.

Germany has quite a few things, with Zattoo being many people's first installation. If you want the English channels on that, make sure you set your Smart DNS's Zattoo switch to Switzerland (as odd as it seems). Not sure how many services smart DNS supports from Germany, so if you start downloading loads, let me know (I'm in Germany, so they all work here anyway).

Scandinavian countries have a few things to. I think DR is available, as is Viaplay.

A good list of English apps from around the world can be found here. Australia is well represented, and all of the apps on that page are supported by Getflix and probably some other Smart DNS providers.

If you really want to have fun with live TV streams, try this guy: With an app called TV Streams, you can have a whole pile of live TV from all around the world. Basically, you can sit the UK live channels from the BBC, ITV, etc right next to live Irish channels like RTE and TV3 and Australian and New Zealand channels from their biggest FTA broadcasters. Really trippy flipping from BBC One in the evening to Channel 7 Australia, where the live feed is their morning breakfast show.

Thanks for that! Will have a look around now.
