share options on android smart phone
I have recently purchased a Samsung tablet galaxy tab A and a couple of days ago a new Samsung j5 smart phone
On my tablet when selecting to share images or video a screen of options appear along with a bar at the bottom of the screen giving me options to print or mirror (don't know what that is?) And a third option to share to a tv the latter works just fine on the tablet However on the smart phone I only get the share option to print showing on the bar at the bottom of the screen. Can anyone tell me if my smart phone should do the same as the tablet does and play media to a smart tv without cables. Maybe I have not found the correct settings on the Samsung phone or perhaps there is an app missing. Can anyone advise please. As this question covers the tablet forum as well as the phone forum I have posted on both. |

Android devices don't have a consistent interface, even with the same manufacturer.
Normally, you swipe down from the top, Settings, Display, Mirroring. |

If you are trying to view what is on your phone screen to a TV, that is mirroring, or MiraCast.

Only the option (View content on) worked The three options that appear in order are View content on Mirroring Mirroring is the only option I get nothing from. On the phone of course I only have the print option Last edited by malcom : 21-04-2016 at 22:31. Reason: further information |

Update. I googled mirroring and I think it may not work for me because my tv is not samsung. It's panasonic. However the view on option works perfectly
