New Lenovo Yoga 2 10.1 Tablet
Hi people I hope someone can help, ive just bought this Tablet new from Amazon it came perfectly wrapped and in new condition, firstly though when i opened the box there was no manual or paper work so i went to the Lenovo website to search for a manual and found a link to check the warranty status of your item, I did this by inputting the S/N and it says it has already expired on 15th April 2016 ? How can this be, I rang Amazon and the girl said to ring Lenovo on Monday, has anyone ever heard of this before.
Any replies appreciated Many thanks |

Dam having done some searching online other people have posted that Lenovo products the warranty starts from the date the item left the factory or this maybe with online resellers like Amazon, this tablet was first produced in Jan 2015 if this is the case then Im sending it back.

Odd. I just checked my Lenovo Tab 2 A10, bought from John Lewis though.
Warranty start was 7th March, I didn't buy until 16th April, although the warranty doesn't expire to 5th May next year. Isn't it Amazon that is responsible for the warranty? |

Consumer law states that the contract is between you and the person you brought it from; Amazon.
So it's the usual "We've got your money and so now go bother someone else" from Amazon. Get back on the phone and if you don't like the answer, ask to speak to someone higher up and remind them that the contract is between you and them. They deal with the supplier, not you! |

Thank for your replies, Lenovo said they just needed a copy of the receipt from Amazon and they would then update the warranty.
As it turns out Amazon give a 12 month warranty too but the first person I spoke to on Sat did not say that they just said to contact Lenovo. Still all sorted Cheers |
