A question that you should never ever put into google because it will explode the internets.

Nationwide and SugarJ Poet. Stupid advert with a stupid poem! I'm tempted to switch banks now!

That advert has just come on and made me look for this thread !!!

The Nationwide adverts are truly awful. Too long and patronising.

Not quite sure who thought they were a good idea but I mute the TV when they come on.

Exactly!

The Persil ad. with the smug looking little break dancer. At the end she says 'Always keep away from children'. Honestly, I always try to keep away from children, but it can't always be done.
can when one has a court order, oops doing that thinking out loud thing again

Quite, how can anyone manage with only 300 channels, it's a travesty.

"We're in Droitwich"
"WE'RE IN DROITWICH!"

I thought it was a trailer for a new series of Gavin & Stacey. No, some young people, staying in a Holiday Inn Hotel and meeting up for a party in the woods with their friends, which of course had to include a black guy and an Asian chap.

The silly silly remake of the classic Fairy liquid rocketship advert, where they they feel the need to add badly acted child narration and point out everything in such an obvious way as to be completely irritating, not to mention removing the original punchline that made the original version so good.

Microsoft Surface Pro.

You can't do THAT with a mac.

You can't do THAT with a mac

Did I say, you can't do THAT with a MAC

How utterly lame, slagging off another product to promote your own.

I am not a fan of macs, or APPLE in general, but this is pathetic.

Can they not think of any other way to promote their product, apart from bitching about another brand?!

That alone would put me off.

Yes I agree it's not the way I want products sold in the UK.

It might work in the US, but not here.

I don't mind a comparison, but only if it really shows the differences in a constructive way.

Apple did the same a while back with Mitchell & Webb prostituting themselves with the "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" ads.

Auto Trader "Helps you choose a dealer with confidence"

Good to know, it is so difficult to find a dealer when you want to get high.

Some GHASTLY toilet duck ad - think it must be American - sickening, twee, dated, stupid and AWFUL.

'Bye germs, bye worries' high pitched twee warbling, when they mean' as I can squirt this right where the sun don't shine and get all the shite off'

Damned pathetic.

...and you CAN do exactly that (and much more) with an Apple iPad Pro. There is no more distinction between a Surface Pro and a regular PC than there is between an iPad Pro and a Mac.

Please someone stop the Nationwide 'poetry' adverts.

Why does poetry seem so poncy?

when I was a teen-ager (Although that name hadn't been invented back then in "Nineteen hundred and frozen to death") I work for a short time in the Gents-wear dept of a big department store, back then it was considered VERY wrong to "Knock" a competitor, not at-all the English way

Colgate Sensitive toothpaste. What use is the weird looking bloke on the right? Merely justifies his presence by trying to bite the woman at the end. WTF?
Gino D'Campo (sp?)
The girl is Katie Pix. Whats annoying is she says "We've come up with some recipes for people with sensitive teeth" and doesnt even tell you what they are. Cute girl, annoying advert
