In the KFC advert there is something on the table that has been pixelated. Does anyone know what it is and why it's censored?
The voiceover on the advert says something along the lines of: "(insert name)'s colleagues all thought her Secret Santa present was inappropriate". I think it's just meant to represent a naughty present

It's socks, not knee pads. Shows how much impact it made
Are you thinking of a different ad? It's the ad with the Vicar and the Imam who give each other knee pads so they can bend down in their respective church/mosque and do their prayers

now I'm not certain, what with being a good kosher boy and all, but I think that he was a priest, not a vicar

Tesco ad with the uncle;

Surprised he says it is behind the Domestos and not behind the bleach. Nice free mention for Domestos there.

Unilever might have made it worth their while!

while I can see your point, I have to ask, "With so many charities out there, if they didn't advertize themselves, how would people, notice them or even know about them
But you have to wonder how much they're spending on TV ads and how that money could have been better used helping the deserving causes they're there for. The Sally Army is a case in point. Heartbreaking lonely old people and homeless boys and poverty stricken children. Yet the ads are on virtually every break on Sky's lesser channels such as Alibi.

I might be wrong but I think charities get advert slots free or heavily subsidised at least

I really hate the woman on the Argos advert when she says Argos

It is like she loves saying it. Also she sounds like she wants us to know that it is Argos advert and her voice so annoying

You could ask the same for any business who advertises. The obvious answer is that the ads generate more income than expenditure.

What sticks in my craw is how some of these charities (if not all) have CEOs earning £200k+... when it's meant to be raising money for a good cause!

How terribly unreasonable. Obviously they should be giving us the option to think its another company altogether!

I'm sure that deals are done and rules twisted and rightly so. I mean, fine, if you don't want to give then don't but let's not begrudge them the opportunity to ask. Weird idea some people have of the point of Christmas!

Nope, he's a vicar. The vicar of Little Venice, Rev. Gary Bradley, to be precise.

unfortunately as they say, "One has to speculate to accumulate", as I well know, as one of the "Fill in" jobs that I do when acting jobs are short, here it is xmas day and still no offers of Pantomime, I do Pat testing on second-hand electrical goods for charity shops for which I get paid and of course the shop managers have to be paid, plus shop rent, electricity etc..
So regardless of subsidize and or free slots, charities DO have advertise, but like all ads, "If ya don't like 'em, don't watch 'em" Personally I hit the mute button as soon as the ads come on.

Merry Christmas everyone. How do I know it's Christmas I hear you ask. Because the sale and holiday adverts have started!

No doubt some we'll absolutely hate, but at least we can say a thankful goodbye to some of the awful Christmas ads we've endured!

Merry Christmas to everyone !

That awful Sainsburys advert just after the Snowman. Such forced box ticking for PC purposes.

Exactly...I remember some docu on the top dogs with one of Princess Diana's charities, flying around the world business class, costing about five times as much as it would if they had booked in as ordinary passengers.
High salaries, working for charities? What kind of message does that send?

Agree I cant stand that either, its just not right to me that charities asking for donations are paying some executive a six figure salary. It means any donations are partly going towards paying some executives ridiculous salary and not just the cause! There is something just not right about the whole thing.

I must admit I liked that last Tescos advert that has just been on.

Ben Miller and the family and friends from the previous adverts all fast asleep in the lounge with the voice over " We hope every little helped"

Very clever!

Im sure its been mentioned but I cant stand the Toys R Us advert with the hidjab wearing muslim women singing with gusto. Could'nt be anymore "obvious" if they tried. Yes we get it Toys R Us......we get it.
It would have been fine if they'd either had close ups of all the people or none at all. They seemed to single her out which made it look really obvious they were trying to push some agenda.

Jesus how many times do Go Compare have to keep making stupid adverts with that idiot operah singer for? Cant they understand people hate him.
They were annoying to begin with but now it's getting tedious especially with all the stereotypical characters they keep pairing him with too.

Tesco ad, they're all asleep, I thought there'd been a carbon monoxide leak.
