The Freeview ads annoy me. The voiceover guy/script just seems really smug and self-congatulating.
Yep know 100% what you mean.
they really are grating and appear to be aired a lot more

...hardly dare ask - what is it?
https://youtu.be/YgUqmKQ9Lrg I'd probably get banned if I attempted to describe it on here

At a quick glance I misread that as "pooping". Seems appropriate somehow.
I did the same. Hope it's not catching.

Bloody woman with her incontinence pants
Trying to make herself look special with pull-ups. I can't see why she doesn't wear nappies like everyone else.

Revolting. And it doesn't even obey its own logic; if, as she says, her "hands were wandering", in what way did he "misread the situation"? Her hand must have been in position when the spasm started, therefore the situation was hardly open to a wide range of interpretations.

Can't see what's wrong with it. Maybe people have too much time on their hands attempting to analyse things that they think need analysing.

All of that and absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the product being advertised, which admittedly isn't unusual, but I just really don't see why anyone (except possibly the boyfriends) would think this was appropriate.

The comments and reddit page praising the advert for showing disabled people talking about sex below the video are funny.
I wasn't aware a confectionary advert was the place to do that or even adverts in general.

I don't see how the boyfriends would think their girlfriends talking about their private sex acts publicly would be appropriate.

I think it's meant to appeal to morons who will praise her "feisty" (i.e. cruel, antisocial, conscience-free to the point of sociopathic) behaviour as a shining example of a strong woman overcoming her blah blah blah ...

Sorry, it's all such a common cliché in the media that I bored myself writing about it.

As ever, imagine the OUTRAGE if it was a man who had cheerfully caused a painful and serious injury to a woman and took joy in the fact, then boasted of getting the chief bridesmaid's number after the fact.
Add to the fact that because she's disabled, are we meant to brush this behaviour off and think it's funny?

Exactly, it is spiteful, rude and nasty and I can't possibly see the connection to a bag of sweets.

The "spasm" one is embarrassing and makes me cringe and again, why on earth would I want to go out and buy a bag of their sweets on the strength of the advert? More likely to have the opposite effect.

'I couldn't even tell my sister'

Well, you cant be very close to your sister then can you.
I wouldn't tell my sister if I needed incontinence pants!

I like the ad where the man says 'Dad, the boiler's gone', and there's a boiler on legs running down the street. Basic but funny.

I wonder if this would have been broadcast if all the girls at the table had been able bodied?

Quite right! People posting on-topic contributions to an ongoing discussion on a discussion board, disgraceful. Should never be allowed.

Halifax most likely paying millions to use the Flintstones and Top Cat cartoons and the pissing the license up the wall with those awful adverts.

Those 'outtakes' are beyond shit

Doubt it, malteasers seem to going through a phase of using disabled actors at the moment as some kind of pc agenda.

Apparently it's an attempt to replicate the affected, artificial speech patterns of something called Beyonce or Khardashian or something. Or a toad.
Are they not Just tired or having a sore throat

I know it's been on for months but I find the Jet2holidays advert with 'hold my hand' by Jess Glynne really irritating?. Does anyone really want to spend their entire holiday being literally dragged by hand all over the place by a child?.

Maybe it's just me as I don't have kids but even if it was my nephews my patience would wear thin after about 10 minutes.

Sometimes, using or eating something seen on an ad has it's own level of cringe due to the thought association aspect!

When I first saw the U-Switch one back then I quite liked it and thought it was funny He's obviously playing on his Gene Hunt character, but everyone knows Gene is from Manchester

Thing is, Top Cat's credit score should be through the floor, what with him being an unemployed criminal of no fixed means or abode. Lending him money, even for something as small as a duplex rubbish bin, is exactly the sort of irresponsible fiscal behaviour that caused the 2008 financial crash.
