Why are they airing that stupid Spec Savers advert in that Bingo hall again? It was stupid the first time around and it's still stupid now.

How can someone mix up a Bingo and Exercise sign on the door? No one has eyesight that bad surely?

The Fray Bentos sponsorship ads on ITV4 with the bloke eating a pie whilst being pig ignorant to his partner.

(To be honest I'll be surprised if many get this reference).

I do. But it has to be GREEN jelly, of course.
Failing that..a weak lemon drink.

Think you're taking it a bit too seriously.

Do you really think a sheep feels like a dog?
Do you think a rollercoaster feels like a park bench?
Do you think a sauna is similar to a professional kitchen?

None of those things would ever seriously be mixed up, its a bit of silly fun.

Not the ads themselves, but the timing - having two 'refugee children' charity ads back-to-back is definitely counterproductive especially when that means you have a direct comparison (is there a charridee version of Gio Compario?) where you can see they have near-enough the same storyboard but are asking for different amounts and you are having to think about which is more worthy depending on what you may or may not understand of what they are doing or maybe go for the water one no hang on there's a couple of those too I think...

They all do good work, I just hate the feeling of being guilt-tripped because I already know it's shameful to e.g. spend money buying oven chips instead of herding the potatoes myself

After annoying us for years with that bloody GTech Air Ram ad he's made a lawnmower now, so no doubt that will also run for years. By the way why is the lawnmower so clean when he finishes? My Flymo is always covered in grass cuttings, it takes me as long to clean it as cut the grass, but not a blade of grass on the G Tech, not even on the wheels!

I have no idea what "Estrella Damm" is, and have no desire to watch a short film about it.

Seriously - did it not occur to anyone making this ad that viewers would not have a clue what they are on about, unless they already know what it is about. Which kind of defeats the purpose of making an ad in the first place

Those really, really unfunny, unimaginitive ones for Muller Yogurt, where the woman gasps "99 calories!" which causes someone to have a very mild pratfall.

So humour deficient are they, they simply must be dubbed versions of the German original.

Oh and bloody Nicole Sherzinger getting a dab on her nose - again totally lacking in any genuine levity.

The whole concept of a Weetabix drink makes me want to vomit.

Yeah why not just have a weetabix with some milk? Would literally take about 4 seconds to put one in a bowl

Me too.

I take part in online surveys about potential new products before they go to market, and was asked on my opinions about this last year.
I guess enough people had a more positive opinion about it than I did.

Exactly. And why make a drink out a very dry substance like Weetabix?

Doesn't really taste like Weetabix, tastes like a light milkshake. I couldn't just have it for breakfast though.

Oh, silly billy, That takes 4 seconds, but instead, he finds several minutes to go out of his way to a shop, buy the drink, miss his train, etc...

I just make toast in the morning and take it to work with me. The more time I spend at home first thing, the worse the traffic will get, and then exponentially the later I'll be getting home.

Doesn't really taste like Weetabix, tastes like a light milkshake. I couldn't just have it for breakfast though.
It's like that with a lot of breakfast things, like Belvita. They're okay, but afterwards you think "Sod it. Time for crisps!"

That young couple telling us about their idyllic life spending their days at the park with the kid and nights on the couch with a brand new Panasonic TV. I suppose going out to work doesn't come into it then.

Blinds2Go with the woman swiveling and snapping her fingers louder than the muffled voice-over.

I've said it before, the Mr Kipling cakes ad, where a couple are showing their holiday snaps from an ipad (or whatever) onto a screen, when presumably some rather racy snaps are shown. The silly mare thinks that passing round cakes, laughing like an idiot and screeching' The monkeys! Oh yes, the monkeys! Hahahahaha!!' is going to sidetrack anyone. Just cringeworthy.

And that Nivea Q10 ad, where the woman doing the voiceover can't pronounce her r's or l's properly. Hence: 'Weduces the appeawance of winkews'. Grrrrrr!

Ha! You can say that again.

I didn't even realise that that advert was actually selling a product.

I thought it was just an advert for the short film that they mention.

The only thing I garnered from it was the bit about the short film starring Dakota Johnson and Natalia Tena.

It's only thanks to your comment that I realise that Estrella Damm is a beer, and the advert is meant to be flogging me their product rather than the short film.

So that's the Tena Lady we keep hearing about.
