That awful squeaky-voiced bloke in the Safestyle adverts, plus all the other Safestyle employees with their red tops and their inane grins.

Definitely not my experience of Safestyle.

Not to mention that the size of the sandwich he makes for circa 6 people at a picnic is hilariously small, they'll be lucky if it stretches to a slice each. If this was me I'd not be saying "Thanks James!" I'd be saying "WTF is this? You do realise there's 6 of us don't you. Thanks for ruining the picnic you t**t!".”

I've just seen that advert

Deezer.

Especially the one where some terrible supposedly retro sounding voice mentions things that rhyme with 'deezer'. It is horrific!

Yes...I now remember that it's for Deezer but that isn't always a good thing, as now I will make sure I don't ever use it!

PMSL!

That man is so insufferably smug. He quits Saturday Kitchen to do guff like this and other BBC shows, and SK *still* shows a lot of his old clips on there as often as they do with Keith Floyd and Rick Stein.

you remind me of one the passengers when I was working on a cruise liner , he said how he loved the cruises and had been coming for about 40 years ever since he was 30 years, he said "When I was 30 years it was wonderful, different woman every night, when I was 50 years it was wonderful, different menu every day, now that I'm 70 years, it's really wonderful, bowels open every day."

and if they DON'T put it back in stock then they must throw it away and make the sensible customers pay for the idiots who can't make up their minds, if they have minds

Why not at least try other cities ?

but wouldn't that scare them, "Big magic, pictures that move" thety would be trying to find the little people in the projector

It was a 5 part series about the televisual advertsing industry over its first 35 years in the uk (1955-1989). And the best thing about it is that it is a 1990 BBC documentary so its only a voiceover and information from advertsing executives and directors and experts (none of this modern thing of asking the general public or soap stars to give their uninformed opinions).

I'll post a link to the second episode which is about how men were shown in UK TV advertising in the mid 50's through to the end on the 80's.

Turns out that since the early-mid 1960's men have been shown to be incompetent compared to women, except in ads for products directed at men (alcohol, tabbaco, cars, aftershave ect).

why not do what I do, contact the company and tell them why would will no longer buy the products, if we all did that they would have to change their ads, I have cancelled my Green Flag membership and told them why, OK they may not take any notice of one person, but if we all did it!!!!

So green flag have jumped on the let's make fun of men bandwagon.
The dad gets out of the car to fix it, what's he thinking he's a man trying to do something men are good at in real life but now attempting in media so clearly he won't be able to fix it, and he falls over.

Cue wife and children showing no concern for what looks like a very nasty fall but laughing.
He should drive them off a cliff

that is why I phone them up and cancelled my membership, telling them why, the more of us who do that with these ads, the sooner they will stop making these ads.
Calling the ASA or similar does no good I did that and was told, "Men are more robust about these things, not that that means that it is 'Open Season' on men" NO? it looks that way to me and what you just said confirms it.
But the more that we object to the advertising standards and tell the product sellers that we won't buy their product the sooner that they will get the message

OK, so we are now on the second advert for McDonalds to feature a staff member with a neck tattoo. Their UK policy states that tats "are only allowed if they are unobtrusive." I smell bs.

Tescos latest one with Ruth and Ben the fruit steals the scene.

James Martin and the unexpected guests at the bbq , I love the way he breaks the bread for the feeding of his countless guests and then walks on the water of his pool. (slight exaggeration )

Maltesers ad Frickin irritating. I'd have stuck the chocs up her nose when it went to penalties.

Rob Brydon on a cruise ship. Give it time and he'll be the cabaret act - a suitable ending.
