Not sure if it has been touched upon yet, but the Admiral car insurance ads with the admiral lady. Them ads are cringeworthy & take brown nosing to the extreme.

When I was in America buying a beer, I would always say, "have you got any beer with alcohol in it"? of course they don't understand irony and would just give me a strange look.

Another reason not to drink it. |

The Rrroyal London ad with the annoying Welsh voice-over has been remade with a quieter English voice and Gladstone Brookes PPI has been redone too!.
Still leaves the annoying woman who claims 'Tottenham Dan paid for this office' and 'I made 280k during this ad break, how much did you?' in a gambling sites sponsorship on UKTV.

I still hate the Weetabix in a bottle advert with the git in a suit making a quenching noise when he drinks it.
Probably tastes better than Budweiser though, just to chip in. |

He's cold and almost robotically emotionless. They could be the best PPI claims company in this universe, but based on their adverts, I'd avoid like the plague. |

Never understood this complaint about American beer. The bog standard stuff is 4-5% like standard lagers here. There's a common misconception that "Light" beer is low alcohol - it's not. Sometimes they'll give alcohol content by weight (ABW), with some beers given 3% strength, but that's still 4% when converted to alcohol by volume (ABV). I lived there for a while :P

The new Gladstone Brookes one does amuse me, purely due to the total lack of enthusiasm from the guy in it. As if it wasn't bad enough last time. He looks as though he's just been pulled off the street and told to read an autocue, and he reads it so slowly I find myself switching off.

I hate all the Cancer Research ads. They're on every ad break. CRUK will never find a cure, it generates far too much income.

The Trivago ad. with that antipodean woman claiming you can see prices from various sites for "the exict saime room".

Come back Annie, perhaps you weren't so bad after all! ![]() ![]() ![]() And the Lotto ad with James Blunt is ace! The FULL one, not the edited one. |

![]() Is this some anti-betting public information film type thing ?? Or does some actual online betting company think that patronising the potential punters, by gloating about how much money they make from the gambling idiots, is actually going to get them more business ?? |

hey leave Scotland out of this, they have enough troubles, they want to leave the UK but stay in the EU, sound like they want to rebuild Hadrian's Wall, but from the North side
I think this is disgusting. What happened to freedom of speech. The only things that should ever be taken down/deleted should be spam-bot messages, liable and anything else against the law (hate crimes ect). The fact that a post (and other users posts) were deleted just because of a political opinion is censorship, plain and simple. Therefore this will be my last post. I have no need nor intention to deal with a forum that censors user for having an opinion and daring to express it. The only question left in my mind is this:- was my post (and replies to it) deleted by an overzealous moderator who thought my post was 'in the wrong section of the forum/was off-topic' or did someone complain because they didn't like my opinion of the future of Scotland within the UK & the UK's future relationship with the EU? Either way it wrong, but is just symptomatic of the problem with the internet since the birth of social media. With social media the mast majority of people live in an echo-chamber were they only read articles, opinions and videos that are broadly in line with their opinion, with reasonable debate left behind and facts "twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools" creating divided societies. I pray that one day society can move back (or at least closer) to tolerance of all, where every man, woman and child would live by this motto from Evelyn Beatrice Hall (when talking about Voltaire's beliefs):- "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it". Sadly I think this will never happen. Oh and so this post is 'on-topic', the new Gladstone Brooks ad is patronising, overly aggressive and crap. Of course we all know about PPI mis-selling, only difference now is that people have caught on and are making the claims themselves so they don't lose hundreds of pounds in fees to PPI claim firms. Now I will depart, and let the usual p*sstakers make their "witty" rejoinders (not you Istvan, personally I have found you to be funny, witty and a great contributor to the forum, I wish there were more people like you using this forum). |

I think this would be most unwise since we all seem to have adverts and therefore won't have bought anything advertised, and that would include soap

I can't remember what it's advertising, but that one that goes, "I laugh. I sneeze. There goes my sensitive bladder. Sound familiar?"
No, no it doesn't. |
