Sorry to everyone for being a moody son of a bi*ch last week (thank god there is no 'delete account' option for this forum). Was having a bad day last week and just got p*ssed off over nothing, well nothing overly important anyway.

So if you will all have me back I solemnly swear not to do politics again, and I will avoid posting when I am having one of my 'black dog' days.

As a peace offering I bring this:-

The new AO advert playing up the gormless man trope by having him burn the dinner in the oven, whilst his wife & kids just continue laughing and playing in the kitchen.”

Glad you're back!!

The subway ads are getting on my tits at the moment; “Nice work Casanova”, because he orders a sandwich? Then the other one with the gormy Essex guy celebrating because he plucked up the courage to make a different order; “Meatball marinara… no”

Just odd and a bit pathetic.

I never thought of that, but yeh you're right. I don't think Barry Scott could move around the floor like that.

The Expedia ad with the fella wearing a rug/toupee
Or he has a hairdo that makes it look like he is wearing a wig. Either way it's not good.

You've turned up in these threads quite a few times to have a go at posters haven't you? Saying it's a "weird bile fest" and having a go at someone because they got irritated by something you obviously didn't.

It may be trivial to get annoyed with adverts, I'm sure most people here understand that, but considering the amount of times you've got annoyed with a thread getting annoyed at adverts, I'd say you aren't really all that different.

Maybe you should just stop being in denial and join the dark side

I think it's more of an infomercial than a regular ad, but there's one for a hoover and their website is lovevacuuming.com. 😐 I'm guessing not many people come across that site by chance or would find themselves entering those 2 words together into Google.

Getting really tired of the Gtech cordless vacuum cleaner that's always run in the afternoons, usually during Countdown.

Now the same inventor chap is pushing his Gtech bicycle and his Gtech cordless lawn mower and we're already beginning to get weary of those also.

I remember when the Dyson 'vacuum' cleaner was first advertised, James Dyson did all his own advertising too, but somehow it wasn't nearly as frequent or annoying.

Might be a trailer for a programme, Trainspotting,? the glottal stops of the voice over, "Trainspo''ing, Pe''er. very annoying.

"The Beautiful Game" one for Apple shown during the breaks in Euro 2016 matches was wretched.

Couldn't get to the mute button quickly enough!

Theses adverts send my daughters dogs into a howling frenzy for some reason, never mind the rest of us.

So it was football based.
I find apple ads to be pretentious like the company and a lot of their userbase that I automatically switch off and forget their ads now.
I didn't even realise it was an apple ad.

The Sunlife one where the elderly dad is watching TV with his daughter. The acting is just so bad - "Oooh I love Parky, and his famous pen!"

It's a pen with 'Sunlife' printed on it, dude.
