Getting really tired of the Gtech cordless vacuum cleaner that's always run in the afternoons, usually during Countdown.

Now the same inventor chap is pushing his Gtech bicycle and his Gtech cordless lawn mower and we're already beginning to get weary of those also.

I remember when the Dyson 'vacuum' cleaner was first advertised, James Dyson did all his own advertising too, but somehow it wasn't nearly as frequent or annoying.
I know! They're like buses - three come along at once!

The AgeUK hearing aid ad is quietly spoken and the has some music come in near the end competing with the speaker strikes me as somewhat pointless. They should have used Chris Evans..

Agree with earlier post - the GTech ads are far too often and repetitive. This serves no purpose except to annoy the viewer. Also hate any ad with whistling or knocking on wood!

On the Muller yoghurt advert, why would Nicole Sherzinger be in Team GB's "corner"? She's American and (I think) Filipino

Maybe there needs to be a thread "where advertisers have completely missed the point"

That nappy one of 'where did all the pee go?' - are people now so dim such that the actual purpose of a nappy is apparently a bit of a mystery rather than them just being padded pants? I think this one also got mentioned in an earlier remark about 'do you need to be that graphic'.
Reminds me of my surprise when seeing the specific items featured on the side of a box of washing powder tablets included similar things, I hadn't realised the washing of not-clean substances off clothing was quite so mysterious.

And I know the Dogs Trust does good work but 'only want to be with you' is a great lively track and turning it into what sounds like a post-mortem mourning of times gone by and no longer to happen ever again is not the way to sell what is a happy thing, a dog finding a home. They made it sound like an advert for an undertaker.

I've noticed this with both the AgeUK ad and the Otex (sp?) Ear drop ad. The voiceover on both sounds muffled & dull, almost as if they wanted people to wonder if they needed a hearing aid/ear drops, or am I being too cynical?

The Canesten one annoys me at the moment. Not because of the subject, surprisingly, but the way the woman pronounces her words. It's very irritating (pardon my choice of word )

.. unless they can be bothered to dig out the original 1966 Eddie Floyd version for future ad campaigns. It was never written as a jaunty song; it should be slow to medium tempo, with that unmistakeable bass line and big brass section, just like Eddie intended!

The Sky Broadband ad. Every single ad they do this bit where they try and make out that other companies that offer broadband have constant buffering or their router dies. It's such a load of rubbish.

OMG that's a TERRIBLE ad. Some bunch of halfwits come to the door with a freaky little puppet and say 'show him your energy bills.' So she does that, and the man says 'HE says you can save £200 a year on your bills..' Then the silly cow says 'where do I sign?!' in the most pathetic wimpy voice..'

I mean, as if that would happen anyway! Just signing up on the doorstep coz a bunch of numpties say you can save money on your bills. Even if I DID open the door, I would tell them to jog on!
Reminds me of the blonde woman in blue in the new postcode lottery ads - she just sounds so dumb and giggly.

Ugh that awful advert with Ronaldo flashing his six-pack I hope once the Euros final is done tomorrow I will have to stop seeing his smirking face!! I don't understand what women find appealing about him, he's so plastic-looking.
Is that his real voice? He just sounds....stupid

Sky Broadband is absolute crap! There will be some days where I can get a decent 11.5 download speed but most of the time it drops as low as 4!
Hoping to get fibre soon.

Oh and another advert to add to the list of ads that butcher classic songs. Dogs Trust with this godawful twee cover of "I Only Want To Be With You". F**k off already!

I think that advert's lovely (even though I'm more of a cat person, and like you I don't go a bundle over twee cover versions)

Saniflow and their macerating toilets. Just the word macerating makes me want to hurl.

I'm on my third sky router in as many months.
It has got to the point where they just send them to me telling they have found a fault with no prior notification.
Despite that I do still like their service

Quite ironic, because when i had sky it was always buffering, never had this with BT.

It is ridiculous, isn't it? They don't look any different, except the supposed slimmer one has more make up on.

If she has actually lost weight, it's not noticeable enough to bring her to tears. It is so badly acted - is it just twins or did they film a before and after version with someone who was planning to lose weight? You would think they would have filmed it with a few people and use the one where the person had actually lost significant weight.

the ad for "Have I got news" on Dave, nerdy guy ignored by attractive woman, ends up watching "Have I got news"; Message nerds and losers watch "Have I got news", winners go out with the attractive women, well every since they got rid of Angus at the instigation or merton, that certainly fits the bill
