This advert is enough to make me NOT bank with Lloyds, ever!
http://www.tvadmusic.co.uk/2015/06/l...r-anniversary/ Which idiot thought that song would be ok! Only saving grace is the latest advert of the horse galloping through a hospital features "Mad World", which is an all time classic. Still wouldn't bank with them after that 1st ad though! |

I thought that No No was bad enough hiding the cost of the product (200 pounds plus), but Six Pad takes the biscuit.
Ronaldo wears 1040 pounds worth of pads which takes even him 36 minutes to earn. Gel packs have to be replaced every so often, the things run on CR2032 (non-rechargeable) plate batteries and weighs next to nothing.... |

A fairly new ad that I've seen that is irking me is the new one for MOONPIG, with that blonde 40-something woman who is gushing over Moonpig cards. She says - at the end of the ad, in a really soppy condescending manner - 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!!!' And the whole time she is talking, she is constantly SMILING!
ARGH! So annoying! ![]() |

I came here to specifically mention that advert. It annoys me for a different reason - the woman says she wanted to make her mum's birthday special but then goes on to say she only ordered the card yesterday - if you wanted to make your mum's birthday special, wouldn't you plan it a bit sooner than the day before?!

The yoghurt advert with the tosser Mark Wright is awful beyond belief. It even looks as if they have done the 'Game of Thrones' trick with his body.

The Leerdammer advert which is laughable. Some random made-up foreign-sounding accent, which is nothing like a Dutch accent. Couldn't they afford a proper Dutch voice actor?

The Subway advert...is that bloke taking his date to a Subway?!
It's also one of those bars where there's permanently a man in the toilets who never cleans or puts bog roll in the holders, but instead hands out sweets or sprays you with aftershave, and expects you to pay a quid for the privilidge. Quote:
Haha I agree. I am actually sick of obesity and 'being fat' being celebrated. It's unhealthy, it's unattractive, and it's not cool.

And, from my experience with a Dyson, try to overload a handheld with fluff and strands and you'll spend ages digging out with a bloody stick.

the new 'disney life' advert.....they pick the most annoying kids for these type of things
What's that sound? It's me caving James Corden's head in. He's buggered off to the US, but STILL makes these godawful adverts!!! Quote:

And that they have quoted based on sales up until "2/10/16". Some pretty creative accounting there as we've only got to 27/07/16. If they are showing an ad in UK, at least have the "subtitles" in English. Idiots.

I remember seeing a US sitcom where a guy told his lady he'd take her to "Le Metro." When she said how posh that sounded, he confessed it was actually just "French for Subway"

Mentioned before I think, but annoyed me again, the way adverts for new Films have stopped using correct grammar for the dates.
"Coming August Five" - surely you mean "The fifth of August" then? So two moans there, the lack of an ordinal and the American month/day instead of the English day/month. |

Virtually every country other than the United States
and altho sequence M D Y is used primarily in the United States and, to a lesser extent, in Canada. This date format was commonly used alongside the little-endian form in the United Kingdom until the mid-20th century and can be found in both defunct and modern print media such as the London Gazette and The Times, respectively.
