Yes, control your heating when you're out! And your heating is off, anyway because you're not there to bloody use it!!

The Zalando ad?.

If there is another ad so far up its own backside as that one, I haven't seen it. Pretentious doesn't begin to describe it.

Setiously, Bernie Madoff nearly left him broke. That's why he is doing them.

I said this weeks ago, what a procession of patronising middle class snobs.

Which was bad enough the first time round.

Could somebody tell me if its cold on Ryan Air flights, because the two women in their latest advert are sat in their seats with their coats on, zipped right up to their chins.
I know Ryan Air are renowned for their cost cutting and screw the customer attitudes, but surely they heat their planes.

I really despise that Betsafe woman on Dave in the evenings.

If there was some humour to the sponsorship ads then maybe I'd weather the storm everytime she appears but I have to change channel immediately because she is such a patronising cow.

I would love to put her, the Go Compare slob and the Kardashian-arsed Money Supermarket "men" into a vat of extremely strong acid and televise that.

I'd throw in some meerkats too.

If you'd made it clear I wouldn't have had to ask, would I? You could just as easily have approved of the things you described as disapproved!

Men have been treated as milksops and punching bags in ads for decades. Anyone remember 'course you can, Malcolm'? Evidently the ASA has a special interpretation of its own rules reserved for this kind of ad. C'est la vie (you'll notice it's a feminine noun!)

And sit in your coat for half an hour while it gets the temperature up!? No ta. Most heating systems are attached to a timer though so it is odd that they chose heating as their showpiece.

But that's the point isn't it? It's reverse psychology (or at least that's the only explanation I can find for it). You're supposed to get so fed up with her crowing about how your money is funding everything that you put an 'expert' bet on in order to show her who's the real master as you rake in the cash. Nobody suffers more from the delusion of expertise than gamblers, after all! How this fits in with the responsible gambling message, on the other, is a bit of a mystery.

That might well be the case but personally if I was going to put on a bet it would not be through Betsafe because their ads put me off their company.

I might not throw the meerkats into the acid bath though, I'd put them through a mincer instead. Horrible ratty creatures.

Your absolutlely right. A couple of years back this betting company decided to use the 'honest' approached and had an advert starring the same woman as the Dave sponser clips.

In the orginal advert she walks around a football game, a casino & a race course going on about how the great and educated gambler has systems and knowlegde to 'beat the house'. She then back to her office and admits that she is the house and has just make x amount that day and that all gamblers are pretty much mugs. She then lays down a challenge which went something like:-

If you think you can beat me, then go ahead, try your luck.

I did try to find the advert on youtube, but it seems to have been taken down. Possible because it may have, as you said, gone against the current industry voluntary "When the Fun Stops, Stop" responsible gambling campaign.
