The presumed logo/crest of Justin Chatwin's superhero character has been released on Twitter and Instagram. The latter says to keep your eyes peeled to both as something is on its way

Doctor: Nice costume. Very figure hugging. Not particularly practical, mind. Um, who are you??
GMan: (For it is he) I am....GMan!
Doctor: Catchy. What does that stand for, then? I know of Superman, nice chap. GoodMan? Are you a GoodMan? Often asked myself that. Or GreatMan? Not quite Super, but getting there?
GMan: I don't understand.
Doctor: What does the G stand for?!
GMan: It's based on my name. My identity. My being.
Doctor: Okay, getting there. So.....Hello, I'm The Doctor. Pleased to meet you. What is your name?
GMan: Um,.....it's Geoffrey, actually.
Doctor: Okaayyy....
GMan: I prefer GMan, if that's okay?
Doctor: That's absolutely fine, Geo...I mean, GMan.

So is the Doctor playing villain to GMan's Superhero?

Or is the Mysterious Doctor Mysterio not actually the Doctor?

The show apparently went by the name Doctor Misterio in some of the Spanish-speaking South American countries during Classic Who. After already hearing the likes of Doctor Disco, and Doctor Funkenstein I could legitimately see Capaldi's Doctor giving himself this name as well...that is, if it refers to him at all!

I believe Mysterio (with a 'y') is a Marvel villain, though my comic knowledge is non-existent so I couldn't tell you which superhero/es he faced off against.

To be honest I'm surprised there has never been a DW story (unless there is one in the books/audio) where the Doctor has to deal with an alien on Earth that has set themselves up as a Superhero (using whatever alien powers they have).

Are we getting Christmas Yeti?

Nardole, a Superhero and Doctor Mysterio...

This is going to be one of those weird ones that shouldn't actually work on paper, but kind of does and is really fun to watch, isn't it?

i hope

A few years ago we had the Doctor meeting Santa in a horror-esque story that also took inspiration from Inception. Absolutely mental. And yet I really enjoyed it despite all expectations. I never write off an episode before I see it, no matter how doubtful I am these days.

The only ever episode I've not been pre-hyped for and still managed to really disappoint me was The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe. Thankfully nothing has been of that low a quality since then for me.

A Class & Christmas Special teaser in the same day (and a Grand Tour trailer ). Happy Friday!

A classic series writer is also returning to pen an episode.
