I don't get the thought process, that if you're in tge public eye, give interviews and pictures taken of you and your family, you have no right for any sort or privacy, or any right to pick and choose what info you want to be open to the public. If someone gives interview for whatever reason, they lose the right for their sex life to remain private. How is their sex life in any public interest? Again, no laws were broken, it was all between consenting adults.

Anything you do with other people has a chance of not remaining secret. If someone cheats on his partner and his partner finds out and goes crazy about it on Facebook - should the hard one by partner therefore be arrested as the cheater's private life has been revealed to others?

To me the story seems prurient. It's about the private sex life of a person in an open relationship whose partner was fully aware of the activity. The ONLY newsworthy thing I've gleaned is the alleged willingness of said person to have unprotected sex, which does not reflect well upon his connections with certain causes.

One has to ask about the ethics and morals of the person who tried to sell the story in the first place.

I just find it really difficult to believe she would take part in a group session.

I am too - have counselling for it, or some other kind of therapy? Yes. But I really can't see her attending group sessions.

In a gay marriage can you get a divorce on the grounds of adultery ?

Well I guess it's better to have some support than none. I hope if this is true that her fellow group members maintain the code of confidentiality. Nobody needs to know the details. If it's who I think it is it's sad that history is seemingly repeating itself. I already suspected this might be an issue but at least there seems to be a supportive partner involved. This from a former ED sufferer- it's a horrible existence.

This is not about a celebrity using his money to 'buy' protection from publicity an ordinary person could not, but a celebrity being forced to use his money to enforce his legal rights because there would be no question of a paper buying such a story if a celebrity were not involved.”

OK, in this case 'cover-up' is entirely inappropriate. But you get my drift, I think. When some MP is caught with his trousers around his ankles and the other isn't his wife or partner, fessing up is the wisest thing to do and is probably the best advice they get. But they always know better and deny, deny, deny until they are bang to rights and look even sillier for all the denying.

At the end of the day, the courts decided what is 'freedom of speech'.

As for adopting Yankee freedom of speech laws, that would be a bit of a double-edged sword: there you can make any number of outrageous claims about you and you have to prove them not to be true rather than the claimant proving they are true as in Britain. And the upshot is that all kinds of untrue and unwarranted mud sticks.

Also, those subjected to that kind of sleaze simply let it ride. And sometimes they have to let it ride because they don't want to find themselves cross-examined in court where other unrelated matters they do want to keep quiet about come to light. It's not that simple

I think the ludicrous thing about this ruling yesterday is that we all know who was involved, yet we can't mention it on here because we would be in breach of the law! Its an Orwellian situation.”

Or you suggesting George Orwell was gay?

A name was mentioned to me today. Inspector Gordon from the Batman movies, Sid from Sid and Nancy. His sister was in Eastenders and has two grown children a boy and girl. He would be classed as Global for years now.

From CDAN:

This former A list rapper with a name that looks like it could be German has a boyfriend. The deeply closeted rapper says the guy is a bodyguard, but bodyguards don't usually share their employer's bed.

You mean where the mags just blatantly make things up and sod the consequences for those they malign, and the press in America can only really be successfully sued for libel if you can prove the reporter or editor made false claims with malice aforethought , that doesn't stop the American press being one of the most sued in he world . Not sure that that is a system we should aspire to, mind you are own tabloids are rushing to compete these days.

Searched for rappers real names and couldn't find any that looked German. No. 4 on the above list does have some German blood in him, though, and his surname could be thought of as bit German-ish. There's also a couple of vids on YT of him speaking a little of the language.

But, I suppose he'd still be considered A-list.

The bit in bold is my issue with the whole mess .Extremely shocking .
As for the people who tried to sell/sold the story ? Unless they are similarly linked to a foundation promoting safe sex and bearing their name then I'm not bothered what their general ethics are to be honest .
