It's got to the point where a footballer cheating isn't even salacious or newsworthy anymore.

So when I read a 'footballer cheats' story, I don't even bother to find out who!

I think the Premier League manager and household name footballer is common knowledge but I was more intrigued by the US revealing it. I doubt anyone over there would either know them or care so it's not going get much interest.

Is this going to be the new thing - reveal stuff overseas knowing its going to end up on Twitter and be outted anyway?

One of the named, has done very well in MLS, so there is some interest in the USA.

I agree. I also feel this way about kiss 'n' tell stories in general. The only time I care about someone's private life is in a situation like, for example, they preach in public against drugs but are secret using drugs themselves.

In which case an injunction wouldn't be granted. It would fall under 'in the public interest'.

I couldn't see the reason why it was rumoured then. Anyone care to enlighten me please?

Quite a bit of stress on the fact that the one in an a car accident was a "passenger", no mention of the identity of the driver.

Change in hairstyle is always a bad sign.

Ah, ok. Thank you.

A couple of DM commentators have mentioned it happened right outside a massage parlour

Actually, I think I misread it. Has there been a separate blind about a massage parlour?

That was just a random example.

Hmm...how did Rocketman get his injunction granted when what he/his spouse did goes directly against what they preach when being the public faces of the charity they front?

Rocketman has the charity. He wasn't involved.

He was on his way to the airport wasn't he. He was the passenger and the driver was his driver.

im googling the "sexting" premier league manager. Its well known who it is.

However, when i search the web, the results that come back are redacted in google and bing.

The whole world bar england and wales can know this. Only i cannot because of the location i am in. The internet search is actively removing all evidence, as if it never happened. It is in effect censoring the internet in the UK.

It is quite disgusting really.

Is that injunction not old now? Been circulating for at least 5 years. Cheated just before his wedding and couple months after.

If you type in the title of the article - as printed in the Independent online - and pull up the cached copy you can read it. It names four people.

Interesting article here about all these football sex scandals.

Been named and shamed already in the US.

The manager gagged The Sun in 2006 and this year over sexting. The player gagged them in 2011 and it is still in force here.

Not sure about the third, sportsman who had an affair behind famous female celebs back

The fourth won a super injunction in 2008
