Tora Pora Pomkinson was an A list celeb in the 90's, in the papers daily and everyone knew her name.
I still wouldn't regard her as being A list even then, all she did was go to parties.

That's who I thought but would she not be still classed as A list rather than former A list?

What happened with the titanic-sized injunction that didn't stop the US mag printing details?

She was never A List, even in her hey day, she was just ubiquitous

But stll no-one knows how to pronounce it
They spelt it wrong on purpose as we are not allowed to post names on this thread

No the point is it never happened, they didn't work well together along with another comedian (Red-gemstone Candle-material).
I see! Thanks for clarifying.

From CDAN:

Old Hollywood Blind Item

This iconic A+ list movie actress who lived a very hidden life after leaving Hollywood mastered the art of not spending any of her own money.

During almost her entire Hollywood run she charged/billed everything to whatever studio she was working for. Everything from her mortgages to her utility bills. She would only eat at places that were willing to bill the studios for her meals.

If a studio ever tried to deduct them from her salary she would threaten an all kinds of nasty spillage of secrets.

From the way it's written I presume the actress is no longer living, and, if so, why is it a blind? Can't they just name her if she's gone to the great film set in the sky?

Considering how the studios treated their performers back then, good for her.

Ubiquitous definition : present, appearing or found everywhere.

A list purely for name recognition, nothing else.

From The Gossip Life:

This former A list celebrity was THE party girl of the 90's and while she's given up a lot of her promiscuous ways, there's one thing she hasn't surrendered just yet - her love of cocaine. It shocks even her 90's friends that she still manages to shovel so much away, and she's known to mix the Columbian marching powder with various other narcotics and 'bring-me-downs'.
The supermodel who used to go out with the film star accused of domestic violence?

Pretty sure this is the first actress to be mentioned in Vogue (the song) Both first and last initials are the same letter. After she left Hollywood she did kind of drop off the map.

A list is somebody recognisable around the world - David Beckham or Madonna. Nobody outside of the Uk would have a scooby who she is. She's barely D list and at best was a C.

No way, it says former, she's like your John Travolta or Tom Cruise - always and forever will be A-list.

Is John Travolta that much of an A lister? He's basically disappeared compared to Tom Cruise (I prefer John).

Even though this A list director is listed in the credits of this Christmas classic, he was fired by the lead actor not long into filming.

The actor got the director fired? It would have to be a very powerful and influential actor who can get the director fired.

Certainly permanent A-list name recognition, even during the 80's wilderness years.

I wonder if those weren't happy days for the director. Both he and the lead are/were A list for sure.

The film about one of Santa's helpers? Although the director isn't a household name he has a few big hits under his belt such as a couple of films about a metal bloke.
