Surely the understudy could step in immediately, they are claiming technical difficulties stopped the show. They did try for 45 minutes apparently. Let's see if tonight's show goes ahead with the understudy.
Not if the lead didn't take well to being ordered to surrender the role to the understudy and leave.

Actually thinking Pillowtalk and his model. The Ex (Cake On The Beach), even said in interviews last week how fast she suddenly went off with new guy. We had rumours before about his drug problem
Never got a gay vibe from him plus his relationship with the Little Mixer was a long term one.

Plus the Pillowtalker is a recluse, he doesn't do big parties that often.

From Crazy Days & Nights:

This A list athlete who is almost never seen competing in the US but is from here is supposedly dating a new guy. An actor. The tabloids want you to believe they are dating. Two things. He doesn't have enough money for her and he likes men way more than women.

I take it the athlete is female? The only 'a list' athlete that springs to mind is a serene person but I'm not sure the rest fits.

Popular guess on CDAN is a skier (which fits 'cause there aren't that many skiing comps in the US) who dated that golfing Bengal and is now apparently "dating" a cast member of Vikings who was also in the Hunger Games movies. Never heard of him.

That said if i looked up "Muscle Twink" in the Urban Dictionary, i'd probably see his picture

Exactly but some on twitter like to try and make a story out of nothing as the real reason is just plain old boring day to day mishaps.

The problem is, though, that the show has been marketed around the actress, and there was a kerfuffle when she had to pull out of a performance of the show a couple of months ago, and the understudy went on in her place. I can imagine TPTB thinking that it would be easier just to cancel the performance this time and offer everyone a refund (or a ticket to another performance) than risk at least some of the audience kicking off.

I know if you go to a show a lot can be to do with the cast but I did find the reaction of some rather selfish, her father had been diagnosed with cancer she had her priorities right to my mind. This time they could have put an understudy on stating she had been taken ill and offered tickets to another showing as well. If she had been drunk that would be out in no time from other cast not just rumours on twitter

I see The Sun is now asking for the story

FUNNY GIRL got cancelled mid-performance tonight. Put down to "technical difficulties" Some saying Sheridan Smith was drunk. Oh dear.

Exactly, that kerfuffle with all her tweets was very bizarre, if perhaps understandable in the circumstances. The tweets would be even more understandable if last night's rumours were true. Either way, even if last night's rumours are not true, the first Twitter debacle alone makes the whole situation quite sad.

The cast would never risk being the one to leak that. We'll never know one way or another if what the rumours say about last night are true, unless it happens again.

Some Twitter users who were there are convinced it is true. The one you quoted is not. As I doubt we'll ever know.

The blind refers to someone from the US... 'Almost never competes in the US but is from here'

The Sun and Daily Mail are naming the one who was allegedly drunky on stage. If it was true, maybe it'll spur her on to get help.

There's quite a lot of Tournaments in the States. Us Open hard-court series, Miami, India Wells.

Pretty much, it's certainly not that much of a rarity to play them. It's clearly referring to a sportsperson who competes mainly abroad. A winter sport seems a good bet.

I don't believe it for a minute. Other theatre goers have said it's nonsense.

From Crazy Days & Nights:

This member of a permanent A list group who is probably a B+ list celebrity by themselves was going to participate in the next reunion of the group. She changed her mind though when the husband of one of the members wouldn't stop hitting on her.
