From The Gossip Life:
The ensemble of this legendary A list show is iconic and distinctive, but the show-runners and producers of said show were desperate to add another cast member through it's run. They tried with so many actor and actresses throughout the years, offering almost ten individual guests roles as a trial. Why didn't it happen? Did no one out of all the talent they tried work out? Absolutely not. There were several that they wanted full-time, but the cast would not let it happen. It was a clique of bullies, according to my insider. They protected each other and refused to allow anyone to steal the spotlight. If they weren't manipulating situations to have actors fired, they were bullying them so badly that they felt they had to quit. |

I'll be there for you? That probably counts as legendary and I don't think added any any longer term actors.

You could suggest that following the lives of 6 white people in New York wasn't diverse or representative - but that's just bad casting.
But the story of Friends could only be about the 6 friends that started it off. Maybe having 6 white lead characters was why it was so popular? |

I still like SATC for this.
Other guesses would be Sideshow Bob's live action show or The Show About Nothing. One guessed on another site that would break my heart if true would be "Thank you for being a friend" |

The Desperate show and Shags and New York had alleged rifts within the main cast so could be them, but the former I certainly wouldn't class as 'legendary.' |

The English wife of the whiny one didn't have much good to say about her time on the show and there were reports after her appearance of less than flattering comments being aimed at her by the female trio on set. |

This link naming the actor says the injunction has been lifted.
https://thegossiplife.com/2016/05/04...ex-toy-on-him/ Or they could save themselves the embarrassment of this coming out by, you know, not paying prostitutes... |

That last one would fit the 'legendary' label.

I don't know why celebrities bother with super injunctions. I found out in under a minute using Twitter. And I'm not even signed up to Twitter! Now all it means is that someone who tried to get a story banned from being published a couple of years ago has turned it into a much bigger deal than it actually would have been. Streisand effect in all its glory.
Or they could save themselves the embarrassment of this coming out by, you know, not paying prostitutes... |

Exactly, I don't watch Downton Abbey and would've ignored this story, but the whole super injunction thing puts it out there big style.

Same here. it's only because of all the "super injunction" headlines that got me wanting to know who he was.
To be fair I don't think his career is built on that. |

I agree with the comments about the super injunction itself, just like the other recent one to do with a family man who had threesomes, had it been reported my interest in the story itself would have waned by the time I got to end of reading the story! In the effort of trying to hide something, all they do is put a challenge to readers to try and find out the details. |

Wasn't the name of Helen Woods client out there years ago when a journo named him and made a comment about paying to have a dildo shoved up his bum on Sky News? I've certainly heard the name long before now

I feel really sorry for him that it's become 'news' again (really, how is this news and who cares?) mainly because it gives that godawful Woods woman new attention. |

I've also heard mentioned that the tall moustached one and former PI who the dark haired female character went out with say that they were quite cliquey as well. How true that is I don't know as he made a couple of further guest appearances after his initial stint.
Plus, I don't think the show would have worked with seven main members, it was perfect with the six so why would they rock the boat? And there were no new friends introduced, only boyfriends/girlfriends. The Desperate show fits well. There were a few characters who became friends with the main cast for a series or two but no one stayed for the whole run. |

I would guess that the 'legendary' label refers to a catchphrase on the show.......HIMYM

Guido Fawkes made the comment on Sky News 5 years ago, but there was no naming.

Yes, it was revealed on a superinjunction twitter at the time.

Have to agree though, I actually feel sorry for him. This is old news, if it ever was actually news, and it only seems to be being raked up again due to her bewilderingly winning BB and wanting to extend her 15 minutes. At the end of the day, he's in the public eye because he's good at his job. He's not a fame ho who flogs every aspect of his life to the media and has made a pact with the devil and so what he does with another consenting adult is his business. And, at the end of the day, is 'adult man pays for sex with adult woman' really that big a deal? |
