From The Gossip Life:

These two A-list actors starred together in a forgettable movie a decade or so ago. It was before one of the A-list actor was launched onto the A-list and when he lingered around the C-list or D-list. He was cast on the condition he "uglied himself up" as not to "overshadow the A-list lead"

"I think [name omitted] still holds a grudge." says my source. "There's been tension between him and [name omitted] ever since."
Not having a 'go' at you dee, but I am heartily sick of 'A-list' in all these blinds.
Everyone and their granny has been/is 'A-list' at some time. *yawn*

From CDAN:

This actor once dumped this actress after saying he was going to leave his wife for her. Now she is replacing him. So there is a little justice.

I can think of plenty of people who never were and never will be A list!!

But on a serious point, most of these blinds are, as you would expect, from American sites and many of us on DM wouldn't be familiar with their B/C list actors/reality stars/models/singers/ rappers/sports stars. So the focus has to be on the A list as they usually have international recognition. So keep posting them folks!!

Oh and just to back up my previous comment when I've looked at some revealed blinds, I often haven't had a clue who the people are because it's a housewife from Atlanta or a Teen Mom or an 'American sports' star or an actor from a TV show, which over here is shown by some obscure satellite channel at an off peak hour.

Gonna need help with this one. One actor is handsome and hit the A list within the last 10 years. The other is a long term/ may be permanent A lister. May be not a great looker?Hmm...

I am thinking current Batman vs Jason Bourne.

My first thought on this one would be Top Gun as the A lister who didn't want to be overshadowed (he's a short guy). However I am struggling to think of a forgettable movie as although I don't particularly like him he does do good movies. Vanilla Sky was a bit pants but that was 15 years ago. I'm struggling to think of anyone else.

Those two have both been A listers for much more than a decade.

"launched" might be a clue. A space/sci-fi film?

Well there was Collateral in 2004. Top Gun's co star in that was about to become A list through a biopic but wasn't he already B list at that time? Collateral was well rated and he got an Oscar nomination even if I can't remember it!!

Edit: The Hulk was in that movie too so?

Another possibility is Captain America. He used to be flying Johnny Storm and starred with Jack Bauer's dad in Fierce People in 2005.

Unlikely their "forgettable" film earned them an Oscar & there's no sign of either being ugglied up in that film

I'm wondering about Dumb and Dumber

Ooh what about the pretty boy from BallyK? He wasn't so pretty in the 2003 film Daredevil. What do you think?

edit: and it was a naff film, very forgettable.

Possible. Looking at his filmography, 2003 was a big year for him as he established himself in Hollywood. But he'd already been no. 2 to Top Gun in Minority Report so surely too well known to be considered D list.

It's got to have been a young actor early/mid 20s in perhaps his very first costarring role. Today must be around mid 30s I'd say.

It says a decade or so, could mean longer. Dogma both in it and I really found it funny but didn't rank well. Batman then put on weight to do a film about the 50s TV Superman and the infamous GiGi etc. That would count as uglifying Jason Bourne seemed to go from strength to strength.

I think they mean 10-12 years ago. I don't believe it's them. Blind implies handsome C/D list actor had to look rough in same movie with long term A lister. I think the younger actor is a 30 something A lister today who was a movie nobody mid 2000s. That pair were both well known to movie fans in the 90s.

Thank you! When I originally read this blind I felt the c-lister who is now A had to be the man who became a star when he had a hangover. He was in a lot of forgettable films 10 years ago as a supporting character.

I couldn't put my finger on which one it could be but your point reminded me of dreadful movie starring a Lawyer based in LA and a lady known for a character who enjoys fornication in New York, the title of which shares this word.

I did wonder. Failure to Launch is a decent shout.

Hmm but prior to Dogma he'd done Armageddon and Shakespeare in Love both $100M films so hardly hanging around the C & D List.

Silver Linings Playbook and Interstellar... both were in the film Failure To Launch (2006) the latter was the lead who had been A-list while the former was C-List/D-list at the time.
