Hmm. American Beauty? She's lost to Million Dollar Baby twice. Or perhaps Fatal Attraction? A quick Google tells me she's been nominated 6 times and never won. I'd also hazard a guess at the princess from Enchanted, but this sounds like somebody who has been around longer than that to me.

Oh yeah, that could work. She's definitely somebody who could get an starry ensemble together.

Pretty much sure it's her, the Trades have been full of her various projects. Though she is an Actor it's not the first thing that springs to mind and though "Best Picture" is likely I can't ever see her getting an Oscar for that category

That blind has to be the Friendly star, been trying to pit herself forward for more "worthy" stuff amongst the fluff she normally makes for awhile.

I don't buy the Chat-show host, the blind say A-List actress, and that isn't what she's best known for.

Hmm... The problem with the Friendly star is that you couldn't really say the Oscars have eluded her. She's got absolutely nowhere near them!! Sounds to me more like a proper actress who's kept missing out and thinks she deserves one before semi-retirement.

Could be, she was in a lot of awards contention for Cake , nothing this year but has "Yellow Birds' next year

We can rule out quite a few of those because they don't have the money to make a significant investment in a mainstream Hollywood movie.

Not from a site but another forum I frequent, two Doctors are no longer on speaking terms because of the older one's failure to have a significant impact on the American casting circuit, Old DW moans his stint on a internet TV drama is embarrassing and is somewhat angered by the young pretenders casting in a major new drama again for the Internet.

ODW whinges also about the companions who have broken the American tv/movie industry with one of them getting a ponding by ODW for anyone silly enough to to listen.

Please. The humanitarian one doesn't count. It doesn't even have Oscar or Academy Award in it's title.

Has to be Doctors 11 and 12 who you may ask Number 11 has been in the US on and off did a US version of a very big Broad UK hit series which got cancelled. Number 12 has been cast in more a Ryan Gosling directed movie not a massive part but still. Soon to be seen as young Philip.

Think you are right on 12, and I did think about 11 but his internet based series was succesful - (the broad show was tv)

I agree on who it's about but I hope it's not true, otherwise 10 sounds like a real nasty piece of work. There were rumours about him resenting his wife for stopping him from going to L.A.. Well he married a woman with a school aged child and quickly got her pregnant 3 more times! What did he expect? 11 is 10 years younger with no commitments, apart from to his even more successful girlfriend. I love them both but 10 made his choices, he has to live with them

I agree as well. Some of these fans can be quite malicious with their fantasies. See also a section of 'cumberbitch' fandom too (as well as plenty of other fans of other celebs).

It doesn't make sense to me. Surely being a fan of someone makes you think the best of them? Not that they are some bitter middle aged man who is too stupid to control their own lives? (Cumberbitches and this lot) Theyre not even teenagers with no experience of relationships!
