From The Gossip Life:
This former B list footballer committed suicide abruptly, sending the football world into a frenzy and confusing many of his colleagues. Why? How? What? It seemed like there was no explanation for the tragedy. We have an explanation. The footballer way gay and struggled with his sexuality. He also suffered from clinical depression. An injunction obtained by his wife prevents this information from surfacing. |

It would be shameless to offer you any clues. Maybe a nice cup of tea for the head of the family instead?
I went right off the Shameless one after that.

These people should just keep it in their pants if they don't want to get found out. I agree, though, that it really isn't any of the press or public's business.

Just a thought One thing I will say is that rather than try to fight such injunctions as this one the tabloids should look at how much responsibility they had in the end of this sad story as they threatened the person that they were going to print, they may just have some blood on their hands here The Times said " ‘This story is being left alone. But the question has to be asked: is this reticence a good thing?’ and "*********** death raises matters of public interest that need to be reported.’ No thought for families at all just thoughts of cash |

A general question about some of these super injunctions... the stories have been printed in various US tabloid magazines, often The National Enquirer, which are readily available in UK newsagents... what happens in these cases? Are the editions featuring these stories banned from being sold in the UK, or just physically printed in the UK? Do they produce a UK version of the print with the story removed?

http://www.theguardian.com/media/200...shing.privacy1 Kate Hudson has accepted an apology and damages from the UK edition of the National Enquirer it implied the actor had an eating disorder and was "looking like skin and bones". |

I never believed the wife's story that she drove around and came back and slept in the car. Sure to be more than being gay or depression. Who would take out an injunction for that. Won't be surprised she was cheating and he found out. Rumours are his parents know the truth and put up with her for sake of their grandchildren.

There was more than one reason
I think the injunction was to stop the media digging and finding out more about her. |

His depression was very well documented, nothing new. I don't think he was gay.

I was under the impression that his wife was the one who had something to hide. I found it very telling that his parents appeared with his children at all memorials etc, but she was absent from them all.
Its a really sad story though, and one injunction that I don't want to see broken for the kids sakes. They've been through enough

There were rumours she was for 13 years and he knew....And one child may not have even been his

No idea. You should stop worrying about idle gossip and get some culture in your life. Why not head to the theatre? This looks like a good play to catch http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...s-freedom.html Quote:

I agree with all of this; I thought at the inquest she was allowed to be very vague. I also thought some of what his Geordie ex-footballing friend said at the inquest was quite telling - imo, anyway.
You're quite right though; his kids don't need any of what may or may not have gone on splashed all over the front pages. |
