I have the apple tv although not the new one but wondered if i should get this. Would picture quality be better or just the same? I do like that its voice controlled provided that works right. Don't have 4k tv yet but maybe at some point this year depending on how much content comes out.

Depends, if you haven't got a UHD TV, then don't bother, if you don't have Amazon Prime, then don't bother, if you want it for the 4k content, then you guessed it don't bother. There's a few things in UHD, mainly Amazon's own made shows, which are visually great, but not really "super great" if you get what I mean and a few "arty things" but no movies yet, you can rent them, but I personally don't see the point.. You'll also need a super fast broadband line, 30mbs or faster, Amazon actually ask for 50mbs+, but I have 40mbs and it works fine.
