It never was a good phone in my opinion. And the battery life is still poor. Avoid.
But yes battery life it shit, better off looking at an S7 or Moto X variant for the better battery life. |

Phone functions and Camera are fine, work well on Marshmallow, so I disagree there.

I always get frustrated with these 'which phone?' threads to be honest as it's such a personal choice and everyone has their sacred-cow brands. The OP should probably just buy one unlocked from Amazon and test it extensively for a few days before deciding whether to keep it or send it back....

Battery life never matched some of the Android competitors, though its awfulness is exaggerated much.
GSMARENA gives it a battery test rating of 72 hours, a good bit behind my 81 hour energy sipping LG G2. But is Marshmallow is as good as it is saidto be rather than a more likely placebo affect only, then battery life might now match my sippy G2. |

Awful cell and wifi antenna reception on the S6 too though, which impacts directly on virtually all functions except the camera, which I agree is good. Plus Touchwiz is foul, although that may have been improved with Marshmallow.

The missus loves hers. The camera is awesome, the battery no worse than my iphone 6. Touchwiz is really dumbed down compared to her previous phone the s3. I also think the cell recpetion was improved with marshmallow - or EE increased power in our area.
I like it - I think its better than my iphone 6 |

I got rid of my S6 down to the god awful cell reception as it was incredibly frustrating to get 3g in area's where my previous phone had a rock solid 4g signal.

Well, I got my S6 in January and it's the best phone I've had, IMHO, since my S3. I had an S5 between them and that was awful. Battery life on mine is fine, I get between 1.5 to 2 days out of it, on average, but can always plug it into the car or external battery pack if I'm out and about so that's no longer a problem (I've picked up spare batteries for phones for the past few I've had, I don't expect them to last.)
Camera is excellent and I've had zero problems with cell reception at all. |
