Looking through the nominations, it's up against an adaptation of My Little Pony.
Deffo in with a chance then
Jessica Jones is probably going to nail it though.

Great. Am very stingy with my geek list when it comes to giving 10 out of 10, maybe a dozen or so in 35 series, but this was one for me. Nice to see it nominated.

Great to see, this is one of my favourite episodes of all time, Classic Who and all. Ambitious, demented, imaginative, thrilling, thought-provoking, with some beautiful cinematography and an utterly breath-taking performance by Peter Capaldi.

It is an episode that I would expect to win a niche award rather than a popular award so I think it is in with a good chance, although Jessica Jones "AKA Smile" was truly event TV and is going to be tough to beat. You never can tell with this sort of thing, though.

Suppose it's how you define 'Event TV' really! Haven't seen JJ and don't even know what channel it's on. Looking at the UK ratings thread, I guess Britain's Got Talent is the current big hitter. Fair enough, even if it's not my cup of PG Tips....

ETA Have no idea how many people watch JJ, UK or otherwise. Sounds quite interesting, though.

Still, the Hugos aren't all about ratings n stuff. Niche is okay...come on, Who!

Its one of the Marvel Netflix shows. Season 1 was amazing - critically acclaimed and popular too and "AKA Smile" was the season finale.

David Tennant played the villain - he was absolutely terrifying. And his performance had him shortlisted for a People's Choice Award (which I believe is the US version of the National Television Awards).

Honestly, have a crack at Daredevil and Jessica Jones. I cannot recommend strongly enough!

Britain's Got Talent - not so much.

Yep. Of shows that aren't Doctor Who, Daredevil and Jessica Jones are topped, for me, only by The Walking Dead.

Well it's nice to see it finally getting some award recognition.

For me it's GoT (although I find my interest in that waining a little unfortunately), Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Peaky Blinders and Line of Duty all the way (in no particular order).

Daredevil comes somewhere way down the line and I've not seen JJ yet (mainly because I was put off by Daredevil but I will probably give it a go at some point). I love the MCU movies but I just can't get into their TV stuff unfortunately. But as Netflix don't release their ratings we will never know how many people watch JJ.

An absolute Classic, well deserving of every award it can get

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic: “The Cutie Map” Parts 1 and 2 is a tour de force of gut wrenchingly emotional and powerful writing, though I thought the sex and violence was excessive, so my vote would go to Heaven Sent

I'd love to watch JJ, but there's such an excess of superhero shows now that in a way I've stopped caring. I tried to keep up with them, but they started making more and more and it was stopping me from watching anything else.

For me it's only Game of Thrones and Doctor Who left. The Walking Dead lost me eventually and Breaking Bad unfortunately finished (some of the best writing I've ever seen in television).

Seems like 2015 provided a big hit for both GoT and DW: Hardhome and Heaven Sent.

Rightly so. Heaven Sent is an excellent episode. By far one of Mr. Moffat's best imo.

Superbly directed and shot as well. An all round 'classic'

I'm not a fan of this episode but I do agree about the way it looked - beautifully shot, very cinematic.
