1) Stop the "Judge's Entrance"
2) Replace the Rumba with Contemporary.
3) Scrap the Dance off after the "fix" last year.
4) Add in a "Switch Up" Week in Week 5 to see how a celeb works with a different pro.
5) Get some male contenders. Last series, There was only Jay and to some extent Peter, but he wasn't liked by the public, was in his 40's and had a weaker pro (I love Janette, but it is true.)

1) I agree. Darcey looks like she wants the ground to open up and swallow her.
2) I think that would be awful - most of the contestants would look even worse doing contemporary than they do doing rumba. It rarely looks good unless done by a trained contemporary dancer.
3) completely agree. The DO is pointless - there have been just as many 'shock' exits with it as without it.
4) I wouldn't like to see this. On DWTS it just seems to create bad feeling all round and puts some pros in the awkward position of viewers thinking their partner would be better with someone else (and sometimes their partner agreeing).
5) Yes, would love to see some male ringers to balance out all the stage school girls.

1. Reduce the number of couples.

2. Give back full control of music choices and choreography to each pro.

3. Bin props.

4. Restrict use of backing dancers to Blackpool.

5. No dance off for semi final, finalists decided by public vote only.

1. Have an even number of couples either 15 or 16

2.Have 5 judges to make the dance off fair, basically reduce Len power.

3. More male contenders at least there was Jay last year but 2013 didn't have any.

4. Props are here to stay and can add to the dance, but the backing dancers should not get in the way of either the judges for example Georgia's foxtrot or even worse spoil a dance Jakes A Tango

5. Bruno to not fall off his chair, he call say Bull Bollocks every week however

There was Ashley- but with his Hollyoaks schedule, new baby, being partnered with Ola (not a great choreographer) and the producers desire for an all-female final meant he was screwed. Patrick wasn't bad either. But I know what you mean.

^^ all of these.
BIB Especially to Brendan- his choices can be wonderfully/awfully bad as well as good.

5. Scrap judges' choice in the final so we don't get dances that nobody wanted to see or dance again. It'd give us a shorter final instead of a drawn-out, two-part final that's padded with boring judges' VTs.

1) I don't mind the judges entrance really.
2) I think the Rumba should be replaced but not by Contemporary as this would be even more embarrassing for the more elderly contestants.
3) I think the Dance Off is a necessary evil - it does usually prevent the good but unpopular dancers leaving the programme before the bad but popular !
4) I think a 'Switch Up' week would be fun but I see others say it is a disaster waiting to happen.
5) Couldn't agree more about real male contenders - although I would hate to see it descend into a battle of the ex boyband members !

1 Agree - it's embarrassing (although I quite like Craig's spins)
2 Replace the rumba, yes, but you jest re contemporary?!?
3 I like the dance off Although I agree that the judges' decisions seem a bit iffy (saving Peter over Jamelia and Georgia over Helen for example)
4 Not watched DWTS but that idea doesn't appeal to me. I like watching the genuine relationships grow and develop
5 Agree!! Not sure why people are anti ex boy band members? Jay and Harry were A-MAZ-ING in my book.

Jay in particular was a spectacular dancer. And I don't think that Macfly are a boyband!

Sadly out of all these great suggestions, the only one I can see the BBC taking up, is the 'switch up', just because I feel they'd take any opportunity to spice things up. I'm suprised they haven't done this already.

If we have to have the dance off, then ditch it when it comes down to 5 pairs left - but most importantly for me, have The Final as celebration and fun event not the bad tempered tetchfest we somehow ended up with for the last series.

Totally agree. The final last series was not a pleasant experience.

Judges should show less favouritism.

Bacofoil No pro is going to get it right every week and following the ups and downs has always been part of the entertainment (and agony) in watching

The judges choice should definitely be ditched. Bit of a strange idea originally to include weaker dances in the final

1 Switch up week would be amazing
2 Replace Rumba
3 Add more dances (there hasn't been any added since season 7)
4 No Judges entrance
5 No Darcey
6 In the final instead of judges choice put the 1 remaining unlearned dance in so then the fialists have done them all and do this in round 1 (That said being an Anton fan this could have made things worse since we'd have had to witness Katie's Samba but I thought that about the Rumba and it wasn't too dreadful)
I gotta go put 6

1.) Have 16 couples so it's fair
2.) Scrap the dance off. The couple with the lowest public vote goes
3.) In the final instead of a vote to decide the winner. Add up the final three scores from the series to decide the winner. That's a much fairer way
4.) Add more dances like contemporary and hip hop
5.) New judging panel. Ex pros or celebs. 2 men and 2 women

Get rid of those ghastly VTs I want to see them training. I'm all for capturing moments of spontaneity such as them having a laugh/cry/meltdown but the staged ones are just too horrendous for words.

Couldn't agree more - and yes more training would be good !

1. Take the dance-off, throw it in the bin, light the bin on fire, throw petrol on the fire, fire the bin into the heart of the sun on a big rocket.
2. Introduce a "Judges Save", wherein the judges can save one "good dancer" per series if they go out too soon. Replace the dance-off with a performance for the departing celeb to correct any mistakes from the main show and persuade the judges to save the couple/say goodbye properly if it's, like, Dave Myers or somebody. Have a double elimination the next week, with the extra time required for the additional performance on the main show shaved off Comedy VTs (and judges comments if need be).
3. Have the final be the couple's two favourite performances of the series and the showdance. Allow the contestants to pick any dances, from any week.
4. Announce who came 2nd and who came 3rd, properly.
5. Bring back the Pro Challenge to It Takes Two it was the best bit.

With scripts so bad even the actresses in the lineup can't make them sound believable

A return to more training footage plus spontaneous edited moments would be very welcome (from memory by the end of the last series we were shown a little more training on the main show).

Stop terrible showdances
This is problematic as it will take the freedom away from the pro's when a lot of complaints are how the pro's have too little say in what they do
Last year I never bothered watching the final, no Jay Jive and 4 showdances to sit through it never sounded good
Somehow there needs to be a balance between freedom for the couple to show what they have achieved and Pants showdances.

1. Reduce the couples back to 14 per series.

2. Bring back Janette, Karen, Natalie, Oti, Aljaz, Giovanni, Gleb, Kevin, Pasha for pros.

3. Bring in Emma Slater as a new pro! The rest, I'm clueless..

Only three things I'd want this series!

I think the changes to the show have made the show dances an irrelevant anticlimax. They used to be the big chance to do lifts and throw everything at it, but there's so much of that throughout the series now (as demonstrated by Anita and Gleb's cheerleader thing last year) that there's nothing new left to do in the final. I think they should just get rid of them and replace them with something else, but I don't know what. Maybe they could do some sort of trio dance, provided they got rid of the extra dancers for the rest of the series.

BIB Really like the idea of ditching the dance off for a judges save.

Also particularly agree with 4 and 5. It really bugs me that the couple who place second don't have that recognised and are lumped in as 'runners up' with third place.

The pro challenge is brilliant. I loved the one where Anton was near the top of the scoreboard and the other pros reaction to him beating them

1. Appropriate music for the dances.
2. Less manipulation of judges' scores and scores to match comments.
3. Decent costumes especially for older/fatter contestants and women of generous bosom.
4. Only one week where props are allowed.
5. No accompanying/backing dancers.

6. Get rid of Anton.
