) Only Semi Final 1 will open today, Semi Final 2 tomorrow So as to give you something to do whilst suffering real Eurovision withdrawal symptoms, I've spread the semis opening over 2 days so you have at least 2 nights of Eurovision interaction next week I'm not putting the names of artists and songs in etc, as they are in the youtube videos and recap, AND you should know them by now (plus I haven't got time)1 Belarus 2 Liechtenstein 3 Switzerland 4 New Zealand 5 Austria 6 Gotland 7 Guernsey 8 Algeria 9 Scotland 10 Germany 11 Iran 12 Tasmania 13 Azores 14 Netherlands 15 Aland Islands 16 Malta 17 Bulgaria 18 Croatia 19 Turkey 20 Ukraine 21 Belgium 22 Svalbard Semi 1 PLAYLIST Semi 1 RECAP - to follow later on this evening... Here are the rules: - Please rank the songs above in traditional Eurovision format (12, 10, 8, etc.) - You cannot vote for your own song. I know who is what country! - Please submit your votes to me by Tuesday, May 17 at 8.00 p.m. Results will follow shortly after. - Failure to vote will result in your country's disqualification, so make sure you vote! Semi 2 will be opening during the day tomorrow! |

After watching the winner's press conference, I've been pronouncing Jūrmala wrong all this time, although it's not like I've had many chances to say it.

I think the new voting system has just made everything more of a problem though, Beth. It's made the issues of the contest a lot more obvious to the casual viewer and they want to know what's going on and what's going to be done about it.
Worse than ever.

Apologies, but I have just realised that I have a two-day event with work at a hotel in Preston Tuesday and Wednesday and have to stay for dinner on the Tuesday so won't be home until late. I am going to extend semi 1 to Wednesday night instead and do both sets of results one after the other. Hope that is okay with everyone?

I hope the rest of my DSFE friends are as happy about Jamala winning as I am!!
I knew she was destined to great things back when Kvn entered You're Made Of Love all the way back in Manchester, my debut contest 4 years ago now! QUEEN JAMALA. |

Plus, it is actually a good thing that we go east for once... Just did not want Russia, Sweden or Australia to win - anyone else would have been great too, but Jamala was icing on the cake.

Jamala was awful, my least favourite of the Final. Hopefully there will be some more just results in DSFE... I have a good running order for the semis
