Least unhealthy options at McDonalds?
swb1964

I'm going to the dreaded McD's tomorrow night

Does anyone know what the least unhealthy things are that they serve (and no, not just bottled water!)

A veggie burger maybe?

I really don't know much about their menu beyond the Big Mac....

The salads or fillet of fish perhaps. The menu has the full nutritional breakdown online.

The salads are actually quite unhealthy due to the dressing.
Also not sure why a fillet o fish with tartar sauce would be any healthier than a McChicken sandwich with mayo.

OP, one meal isn't going to make a dent. Unless you are eat McD breakfast, lunch and dinner every day then why are you even worried?

I'll probably be going most Thursday nights from now on. Not every meal, no, but once a week is still more than I'm comfortable with.

The OP asked for the least unhealthy. The grilled chicken and bacon salad is 160kcals. I don't eat tartar sauce so the fillet o fish is healthier for me personally but looking at the website, it's 329kcals and the McChicken sandwich is 388kcals.

The grilled chicken salad with balsamic vinegar is ok. I used to eat that when dieting but still wanted to partake in the "junk food Friday" at work. They are actually quite nice to have.

If you want their real "junk food" then 6 chicken nuggets, medium fries and Diet Coke comes in around 600 calories which isn't too bad.

Can I ask why you're being forced to go to McDonalds once a week?

Ronald McDonald doesn't take any sh*t these days, he's actively coralling people into his restaurants.

Initially. When they first started doing salads the only dressings they offered were full fat ones. I believe you only get lo cal dressings with their salads now.

The OP has not been back to the thread in days. Do you reckon Ronald has gone a step further and is keeping him locked in the cellar, forcing burgers upon him? A bit like a jolly fast food Fritzl.

Either that or they have become instantly hooked on the 'secret' ingredient and are now roaming the streets trying to find money to get their next fix.
