Humax HDR1000S missing Channel & On Demand Icons
My HDR1000S powered up, as it does daily, and all the Channel Icons in the EPG and recorded programmes were missing, just Channel Names in small Capital Letters.
Also, on Demand, no icons, just jpg place-holders with no images. On Demand worked OK, just guesswork as to which OD selected, first one was BBC iPlayer though Internet search, best advice seemed to be a Factory Reset !!! No way, unless I really had to. I powered down, unplugged, waited 3 times, still no icons. All Recordings & Timers OK though. Then I noticed, that as various timer recordings occurred during the day, the channel icons re-appeared on those particular channels, mostly, but not all !! Eventually, with no further action, one by one, the various channel icons re-appeared on the EPG, though with no particular order!! Then it stalled for a while..... And On Demand was now showing the usual Icons. After a few hours, and being powered down yet again for 30 minutes, all was good. Phew. And no factory reset required. OK now for a couple of days. I've noticed before when an anomaly occurs, the best thing is to be patient, and it will eventually all come good, with possibly just a few manual power downs. PS: I also have a second HDR100S in another room, I checked, no such problems with that Humax. (I did suspect a software update at one point) |

After doing a factory reset and I've noticed some of the channel names are using plain lettering instead of icons as well. I actually wish they didn't use the icons at all. They are a nice touch in the EPG but some of them are too small to read.

I've found that the icons didn't first appear when I installed the kit, but then sorted themselves out later. A power cycle produces the same results. I've also found that just by selecting a 'blank' icon, after the app has launched and been closed, all of the icons are correctly populated,
