Aw come on. They had a photo together and Moffat is a big fan of Mr Dicks. Sure it was all amiable stuff.
I don't doubt it was, Moffat's been the same with RTD a few times and they're hardly mortal enemies. He's a big fan of Terrance's work on the show so I can't imagine him actually going out to "heckle" the man.

Whatever you can fling at Moffat though, I suppose.

(He's also Scottish so his idea of banter isn't exactly on the sensitive side)

The scene where Amy throws herself at the Doctor and then squirms about on the bed like a dog on heat was the moment I began to fully realise that Moffat was running Doctor Who right off the rails. .

Strange. There was me thinking the show was still hugely successful and has been commissioned again for another few years... when in fact it's 'gone off the rails' according to your incredible prescience. Funny how personal feelings can totally rob one of objective perspective on something isn't it? And I'm not talking about myself there

Dicks is a feisty, outspoken character himself. The 'heckling' was almost certainly light-hearted and I'm sure Dicks wasn't offended in the slightest.

Amy Winehouse, Pete Doherty and Lindsay Lohan were more successful when they went off the rails.

They tried to make Doctor Who go to rehab, fanbois said, "No, no, no!"

So who's the writer from the classic show returning for series 10?

After that exchange with Moffat, has he decided to feed Dicks with enough rope to hang himself by letting him write an episode for the new show. If it's awful or feels dated, it'll prove Moffat right, who won't care because he's leaving anyway.

Anyway, who didn't feel a tiny hint of romantic pain in the Doctor when Jo left him at the end of The Green Death...
I didn't, as a youngster I thought he was just sad she was leaving. The possibility of romance between a man who was so old and a young woman was not something that even crossed my mind.

In addition, I was annoyed when, in School Reunion, it was heavily hinted that SJS had romantic feelings for the Doctor.

The thing is, the companions are human. They meet a man who is lovely to them, charming (most of the time) takes them on adventures, chose them over a mi!lion other women, doesn't look 900/1000 years old. Is it beyond the realms of possibility that she might have romantic feelings for him? In Amy's case in the bedroom, she was a young woman who was having misgivings about her marriage. The coming on to him was entirely in keeping g with why she wanted to escape in the TARDIS. Although I admit my 6 year old found it yuk too! It would be less realistic if every one of the companions thought with their rational brain and managed to stop themselves falling for him.

It is The Highlander effect; if a man is immortal, then a woman can't help but fall in love with him. Unfortunately, men are not immortal, so as a man, I hate this scenario. LOL!

Immortal and unnattainable. It's like an explosion in a pheromone factory

That annoyed me too, even then I was getting bored of the TARDIS crew fancying each other.

It was still completely inappropriate.

I was referring to Katy Manning and Jon Pertwee , not Jo and the Doctor lol
