Sad John Middleton isn't there. Shouldn't surprised t as it's popularity at the end of the day.
Ross Barton not such a bad boy afterall. Robert, Villain of the year. Maybe Ross should dangle Robron off a bridge next time.

I was hoping Charlotte Bellamy would be nominated over Lucy Pargeter and John Middleton over Danny Miller for Emmerdale. Oh well. Also, while I wasn't a fan of the storyline, I think Gary Mavers easily deserved a Best Villain nomination over bland Ryan Hawley.
Matthew Wolfenden getting nominated for Best Comedy Performance confirms that Emmerdale sees the cancer storyline as a joke. Glad to see Jack P Shepherd get nominated for Corrie. Hope he wins. |

Does anyone know how the shortlists are made up. Is it entirely the BSA or do the soaps put forward their own choices and the BSA pick from them?

If you read the HO instagram page you'll find out. It's full of 15 year old girls who think he's hot and set up ten e mail addresses to vote for him (this has been said in comments many a time). I was told I was jealous when I said he was a poor actor. Aye jealous of bug eyes and a tattoo that says vaginas.
![]() I guess Hollyoaks knew they would have the votes if they put him up for a nomination. Since it is viewer vote based, it is obviously about popularity more than anything else. |

Very happy about Lucy Pargater. She was immense during PTSD and abuse storyline. I actually think the chemistry between her and Aaron is one of the best mother-son pairings I have ever seen. Mother-son pairings are rarely done in soaps. It's traditionally always father-son or mother-daughter.

Hollyoaks? Seriously?
![]() ![]() ![]() Well, you have to laugh. Those noms are terrible. I hope Rakhee Thakrar gets hers, and the stillbirth story. Charlotte Bellamy was brilliant last spring - I hope people remember that, but I'm not sure they will, it was a good year ago. Would also like to see Val's death recognised, for Charley Hardwick. The rest, I just don't care. Robron, Robron, bloody Robron. Is this what Emmerdale is now? I guess it is. Sheesh. |

![]() ![]() I'm really surprised they didn't put up Mercedes Stillbirth for the best episode. That was amazing. |
