Did anyone get to see this repeat last night on ITV3?

It was filmed in 1988, and it was interesting to see a number of performers in the audience who have long since passed away themselves: the great Dave Allen, Joan Sims from the Carry On films, to name but a few.

I loved the Ballad of Barry & Freda - just brilliant! Victoria Wood was a wonderful quick-witted performer, a great word wizard. RIP Victoria

It's often the case on these An Audience With... programmes spotting artistes no longer with us.

I missed it last night too, will try and catch up on the ITV Hub (or whatever it is they call it)

An Audience With Victoria Wood is brilliant.

My favourite parts are 'Sacherelle', 'Just a little survey', and 'I'm looking for my friend - Kimberley'

I love those bits too! "Totally bone fido" "It's just a little opinion poll. And you look like a little Pole in my opinion."

Also love the Ballad of Freda and Barry and the story about that man following her because she dropped her keys and he thought she was Dawn French.

Spud-ooh-lick-eh

I've got this on dvd, found it on Amazon a few years ago for a quid and it always makes me laugh whenever I need cheering up. I haven't watched it for a while and I know the next time I do see it I'll have a tear or two in my eyes

I rewatch it every year without a fail. One of the most funniest piece of television ever made. You would never think by looking at her that she was six months pregnant while doing it. She looked great.

The skits with the Opinion Poll and Fatitude are enough to make you die with laughter.

Oh and she won a much deserved bafta for it as well.

I caught this last night and just revelled in the incredible skill and talent that she was.

To my mind she reminds me of Alan Bennett, able to muse on the peculiarities of British life and produce almost poetic monologues which paint such vivid pictures.

My favourite bit is "...poking an eclair through the curtain". It's such a surreal thing to say, but conjours up such a hilarious image in the mind!

"We're not trying to get you to buy mayonnaise or anything like that....."

Her, "Sold Out" tour is equally as funny.

Thanks for that, I missed it last night, now got it on record. The one death this year that brought me to tears. Loved Victoria so much.

Yes it was. There were some people that the camera zoomed in on who must have been well known at the time, but I've no idea who they actually are

I've seen this lots of times and I didn't even realise Victoria Coren was sitting there.

Sad seeing this now Victoria Wood has gone, along with some of the audience. I noticed Denis Norden was there, asking Victoria a question, and had to check if he was still alive. He's 94!

Really? I was sure he'd passed on

I loved the line "It's just a little opinion poll. And you look like a little Pole in my opinion !"
"As I saw you coming towards me, I said to myself "Oh, don't ask him Marjorie - he looks a right twit and a half !"
It's totally fody-bodo !
