Is the accent supposed to be half Aussie/half British or what? Is that the actors real accent? it sounds so odd.. some words he says in full Aussie and then others in a slightly English tone.

I find him annoying. The accent, the character and the poor acting all combine to make it quite a jarring experience.

I hope he is not permanent. I mentioned this in the 'soap pet hates thread' and Angus falls perfectly into the typical Oz soap mould of new character who is obnoxious but will be welcomed with open arms and be one of the locals by the end of the week (although hopefully not).

PLUS, is he not meant to live in the UK and yet he has more of a sun tan than any of the local Aussies...

I think it's put on, he was on X Factor Australia and he didn't sound like that then!!

Hope he is only a guest character, can't stand him or his faux British accent. They got rid of the likes of Daniel to replace him with that?!

You just know that him and Ben will be best mates within a few weeks. I don't know why they've suddenly decided to give Karl and Susan another surrogate child when they already have Ben living with them? I assume Nate will go back and live with them as well.

I always like to give characters a chance as often they come in all guns blazing only to become some of the dullest characters ever after a few weeks sadly I am finding this character lacking any redeeming features at all and his accent is most distracting.

It's the hair that distracts me; he looks like a Lego person!

I agree he has a very strange accent. Ben said he thought he would have a British accent so it's obviously not meant to be British! Sarah goes British at times aswell especially when she pronounces her 't's'

The accent is bizarre! Explained away by Angus saying 'My dad's Australian.' Not sure you get an accent by default lol 😳😳😳

The only reason that Angus and Ben don't get on is because Ben is not able to complain about Angus stealing his secret stash of money. Once that secret is revealed (as they always are quite quickly in Neighbours) they will be friends properly.

I have heard of Jai Waetford before (I have seen some of his stuff on Youtube) but I have no idea why they cast him instead of a proper actor. It's a bit like Justin Bieber being on CSI (except that Bieber can act).

Chris on H&A is from X Factor but they were smart enough to make him mostly a comedic character.

Andrews accent was really strange lol
They kinda just went with it though didn't they.
Vicki in EE lost her terrible American accent after a few months!
