Yes it would seem so. There was a thread on here a while back that also showed how he has appeared on an incredible variety of different types of show recently (rather than just a panel show regular). Good for him I suppose but maybe less is more sometimes
I guess it's not his fault as he's hardly going to turn down work. The problem is more with the schedule in that the shows he's appeared on all seem to be on at the same time so it comes across as overexposure.

The problem then is not just people getting fed up of seeing him on tv but if you like the shows he appears on then you tend to here him rehash the same routines over and over.

I attended yesterday afternoon's recording. VCM, Jimmy Carr and Giles Brandreth were the panellists. Being an avid Only Connect fan, it was great to see Victoria.

Sandi was a surprisingly good host.

I really enjoyed it.
I've got tickets to see QI this Tuesday afternoon. If you, Free Radical, are reading this thread - or anybody else who's been - when would you advise getting to the queue? It's "arrive by" 15:30 (although they're not priority tickets).

I've been to loads of telly recordings but never QI, and just wondered how busy it gets. Grateful for any info...

I can't speak about QI in particular but having been in queues for Would I Lie To You, HIGNFY, The Apprentice You're Fired and The Graham Norton Show, I'd recommend arriving at 14:30, an hour in advance of the recommended arrival time, because most queues tend to get very busy very quickly and they often have to turn people away (even those who arrive bang on the recommended arrival time)

Thanks for the info. That's fairly civilised, was worried it would be something like 9:00am

Thoroughly enjoyed watching this the other day. It was one of the slickest recording sessions I've ever been to, I don't think they stopped once; just a couple of pickups at the end.

And they must have shot about an hour and a half's worth of material so even more than an XL - although I guess some stuff might turn up in an "unseen footage" compilation.

Sandi is very good too. I think she'll be a breath of fresh air for the show.

Went to yesterday afternoon's recording. Ross Noble, Frankie Boyle and Lucy Porter were on.

Great show.

I expect Toksvig will do well. She has the mind to keep abreast of the information and the wit and self-confidence to keep it a comedy show. One of the problems with the BBC is for the purpose of ticking diversity boxes. placing people on their panel shows that people don't like. Surely Jupitus can only be there for picking the fat and yappy box?

Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor is to make his QI debut in Series N alongside Aisling Bea and Ross Noble who will be joining Sandi Toksvig and Alan Davies.

So there ya go, someone new and COMPLETELY left field.
Don't you mean Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor?

I'd read in the past that Corey was a huge fan of the show, never imagined for a minute he'd ever be invited to appear on it though.

It is a strange one. Good for them though if he's a fan and they think he'll do well.

I guess the other guests who would be a slight surprise were the big name actors such as Laurie, Grant, Thompson, Sessions but presumably they're luvvies with Fry and the producer.

Also some of the basically never heard of guests from Oz and the US.

The remaining 4 weeks
New: Clive Anderson, Jo Brand, Jimmy Carr
Numbers: Noel Fielding, Colin Lane, Sarah Millican
Night: Noel Fielding, David Mitchell, Holly Walsh
Naked: Lolly Adefope,Lee Mack, Richard Osman
Next: Frankie Boyle, Ross Noble,Lucy Porter
TBA: Phill Jupitus, Nish Kumar, Holly Walsh
TBA: Jeremy Clarkson, Jason Manford, Sara Pascoe
Noel: Susan Calman, Matt Lucas, Josh Widdicombe
Non Sequitur: Phill Jupitus, Miles Jupp Deirdre O'Kane
TBA: Cariad Lloyd, Matt Lucas, Jerry Springer

So, 10 new guests this series including two special guests. I have to say it's interesting to see the guest selection each year. The new guests as well as seeing the layout with the old ones and the changes in appearances per series of the new and the old guests. A lot of guests who made many appearances per series in the earlier years have had fewer episodes or have even not appeared at all.

Could've been worse, they could've gone the other way for 'Noel' and had a panel of, say, Fielding/Gallagher/Edmonds...

I'm more surprised they plumped for 'Noel' as the Christmas title (over Nativity or suchlike) having used 'No-L' for the series L Christmas show...

A shame they did not resist putting him on at all. Dreadfully unfunny man.

Let's hope his career does not follow Henry's.

Not Victoria Coren though. She's a bit superior.
