Thank God. Although EE isn't at its worst. I hope it gets back to its best. |

hopefully less Carters!! i would be happy to see the back of Danny Dyer. That would instantly improve the show

DTC hasn't been all bad.
In fact December 2013-February 2015 was a strong period for the show. Since then it has been hit and miss but not without its highlights. I certainly wouldn't list DTC among the worst producers. |

As long as his buddies are there steering ship I think we're still in for some rough tides ahead.
I hope SOC has a huge shake up of the creative department. |

Thank all of the gods that this man has finally been removed. It's amazing that Eastenders survived three terrible producers in a row.
Thanks. |

I wouldn't describe it as a 'reign of terror' by any stretch of the imagination. I think there have been some excellent storylines during his time and overall EE is in a good position.
A lot of people (including myself) at times, have a negativity bias (which can be human nature) and will focus in on the things we don't like and therefore indirectly and unintentionally diminish the positives. Also, everything is relative and has to be judged in context...ie- how does DTC rate when compared to ALL the previous people that have been in charge at EE AND how is the show compared with other soaps at the minute. There is also countless other criteria eg characterisation, block storytelling, legacy etc etc by which we could assess him. Finally, on top of all that EVERYTHING is largely subjective and everyone will have their own opinion. |

I generally liked him and his work up until live week, then sadly it went very hit or miss. Rewriting backstories to integrate his new creations was a big no no for me. I LOATH how he's attributing "Hello Princess" to Gavin and now claims that Eric Mitchell was associated with Den, Pete, Ted despite none of these characters ever mentioning it previously etc...is a too much of an artistic licence for me to swallow.
Kathy's return had the opportunity to be amazing, and whilst I understand they want to brush under the carpet the off screen death, it ended up being underplayed too much. The episodes where she finally came face to face with her family should've been a set of two / three handers and the fall out of her letting her family think she was dead should've been much greater. |

The first half of DTC's era was good, the second half wasn't so good. He kind of lost the plot after Live Week. He did a good job of dragging to show out of the mess it became thanks to Bryan Kirkwood, but my two big problems with this era are the constant retconning of the past and the inability to bring stories to a conclusion. |

DTC overall in my opinion was quite good BUT he quite often dragged on storylines for ages.

Too much block storylining.
Kathy's return was weak and she should have had a trial. |

DTCs weakness was rewriting history, he did this from the very start when he made Mick, Shirley's brother/son despite it being clear she didn't have him prior.
I won't even talk about the whole Gavin/Den/Claudette/Mitchell's mess. What I think was the worst though, was making Kat have a son she never knew about. I feel this story has some how ruined the legacy of the Zoe reveal. |
