I wouldn't want Pam to leave. Wouldn't be too fussed about Paul. Les makes a good (ish) background character and interacts well with Billy's immediate family.
Pam is tougher than we think.
Once it comes out that it is Babe who is blackmailing them (and it will) Pam will rip her to shreds!!

If we were to lose Les, I think she could still work. She works well as mother figure for Billy and Honey and still has many interactions on the market.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think it would be good if we get to see her Mim (sister) who could possibly bring her own family for Pam to also be involved with.
On a square with Claudette,Babe and Cora, we need Pam to stay to address the balance.

Maybe the Christine thing would have been a big deal 50 years ago but we're in 2016 i doubt anyone would care so i really don't know why Pam and Les are so worried, the worst that would happen is Les would be joked about for a bit but after about a month it'll all be forgotten about...
