I think the game will be great for the flyers. Real dogfights in the sky. I cant fly to save myself though so will need to watch from my position in the trench.
2 games going on in 1. The ground battle and air battle, whereas just now the air also battles the ground. |

They should leave ww1 out of video games. Millions of allied and other nationalities died in the conflict and it's just glorifying it!

Or you could leave politics out of it and just have fun with the nicely arranged pixels on your screen. |

So I take it you don't play any games involving killing?
I have always taken a big interest in WW1 as I knew people who served (my grandfather and two great uncles) and I learned about the Harlem Hellfighters for the first time last week when some of the details of BF1 came out. Now that is a story that is definitely worth telling. My grandfather was proud of his service in the Great War on the Western Front and under Allenby. I have been thinking about him a lot as the gaming pundits have talked about the possible use of horses in BF1. He was in the Denbighshire Yeomanry and did go into battle on horseback against the Turks. |

Has there been any mention of what period in the war this game will cover, the trailer seemed to be all over place, hopefully none of this press X to kill a rat type stuff and claiming it is a cinematic campaign,

I used to park other side of concert hall (medical centre) but yous have a big support so probably hard anywhere. Just be careful if u go as far back as town centre as there's cameras in there now for parking times.
Not sure how long alpha is. |

Can I start by saying I've only played a few rounds and obviously I'm used to bf4.
The vehicles are pretty crap in it. They are just slow and the internal views are poor. The planes for the most have next to no effect on the ground, so basically you can pretty much ignore the planes. Maybe pilots will just fight it out in the sky like almost 2 separate games. The voice over.....Jeez let this just be a placeholder. The woman's voice telling you capture points are taken just doesn't feel bf. It feels like what I'd expect in say titanfall. The tickets count up rather than the usual down. Tickets driving down to zero give a greater sense of urgency. Probably just need to get used to this. It just isn't really doing much for me at the moment but I'll keep playing. It plays more like close quarter map/mode than conquest to me. |
